Reports to Talent Development SVP - Based in the US remote employee.
The Senior Director, Organizational Development & Succession will shape the enterprise strategy for succession planning and future-ready capability design across Genesys. This leader ensures we have a robust pipeline of leaders and an organization built for agility, innovation, and growth.
Partnering closely with HR Business Partners, the Talent Development team, and the Executive Leadership Team, this role will design the frameworks, tools, and experiences that accelerate readiness, enhance capability, and strengthen organizational performance.
Succession Planning & Leadership Pipelines
Lead the global succession planning strategy across all leadership levels, integrating company goals, readiness frameworks, and internal talent insights.
Ensure consistency in successor identification and readiness evaluation.
Partner with HR and business leaders to assess bench strength, identify high-potential talent, and build targeted acceleration plans.
Lead the annual succession review cycle in alignment with Performance Management and Talent Review processes.
Drive use of analytics and dashboards to track talent movement, development progress, and organizational risk.
Organizational Capability & Design
Build and implement a global capability framework that defines future-ready skills aligned with Genesys’ strategic priorities, leadership values, and Success Profiles.
Map organizational strengths, capability gaps, and critical role skill needs to inform design and investment decisions.
Collaborate with business and HR leaders to shape organizational design and operating models that enable strategy execution.
Ensure alignment of structures, systems, and talent development strategies to enhance agility, scalability, and innovation.
12+ years of HR experience in talent management, or HR Business Partner leading Organizational Design with global scope preferred.
Proven success leading enterprise-level succession or capability frameworks.
Deep understanding of leadership models, competency frameworks, and talent analytics.
Experience collaborating with senior executives to align organizational design and strategy.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into operating models.
Expertise in data-driven talent management and leadership readiness analytics.
Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity in high-growth, global environments.
Strong partnership mindset with HR Business Partners and functional leaders.
Demonstrated ability to balance short-term business needs with long-term capability building.
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$179,500.00 - $333,300.00Benefits:
