Job Overview:
The Senior Director of Marketing Strategy and Engagement at the Georgetown Berkley School of Nursing (BSON) will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that advance the school’s reputation, enrollment, and partnerships across all programs. The position is a new role. The Berkley School of Nursing operates a hybrid marketing structure, leveraging support from university-led teams and external vendors.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee Salesforce Marketing Cloud and work with internal and /external stakeholders in implementation of web-based technologies (i.e. generative AI, chatbots, etc) with a focus on lead acquisition.
In collaboration with senior leaders, work to define and administer the marketing strategy for BSON across programs and offerings, establishing KPIs to drive enrollment and meet goals.
Integrate and coordinate marketing communications strategy across BSON (working directly with admissions, clinical placement, and advising), providing both strategic and operational oversight.
Define school annual marketing priorities, audience determination, and goals reflecting the school/unit’s unique mission and audience
Elevate brand awareness through internal and external partnerships
Support the management of external marketing firms in an integrated marketing strategy which includes full funnel paid social, search, native, out-of-home, digital, sponsored content, video, blog, event, and email journey communication campaigns
Develop messaging for all advertising channels, including SEM campaigns, enrollment marketing messaging, and external facing materials to support recruitment goals
Manage data collection, marketing efforts, and final approvals to ensure accurate and strategic submissions that impact rankings
Build out and manage a high performance marketing team
Work Interactions:
The Senior Director of Marketing Strategy and Engagement reports directly to the Vice Dean of Operations at BSON and works alongside other senior leadership, including the Dean of BSON, Vice Dean for Academic Faculty Affairs, the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the Director of Admissions, Director for Clinical Education & Partnerships, Assistant Dean for Innovation & Program Development, Assistant Dean for APRN Programs, finance departments, and Specialty Track Directors at all levels. Incumbent will coordinate with a centralized marketing hub at GU Medical Center.
The Senior Director of Marketing Strategy and Engagement is charged with fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture.
Requirements & Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree required in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, English, liberal arts, or a related field.
Candidates should also have at least 6-8 years in marketing (higher education or online marketing management a plus)
Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills. Ideal candidates will have an entrepreneurial, positive, inclusive spirit that is ready to ideate and build at the BSON.
Must be able to work with and exhibit a consultative communication style to various constituencies including prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff;
Minimum 2-3 years in supervisory role with experience building high performing teams.
Must be able to think strategically in the delivery of programs and services.
Must be comfortable working with technology, analyzing market data, learning new systems and have demonstrated strong attention to detail.
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, PowerPoint and/or other data visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (Marketing, MBA, or similar) preferred.
Prior experience or knowledge of management education trends and issues is beneficial.

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$54,616.00 - $100,493.33Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
