We are seeking an exceptional lawyer to lead our Global Marketing, Digital & Consumer Technology practice This role sits at the intersection of brands, consumers, data, technology, and innovation. It is responsible not only for shaping global marketing legal strategy, but also for enabling execution of global marketing platforms and digital ecosystems that bring our brands closer to consumers - ensuring our products are within “one click of desire” across our Top 40 and global markets. 

 

The role leads legal stewardship of global brands, consumer activations, digital platforms, consumer technology, enterprise AI, and global visual identity standards. The successful candidate and her/his team will serve as trusted strategic partners to our Global Marketing, Digital, Innovation, and Enterprise Technology stakeholders - helping the Company move with speed and agility while managing risk thoughtfully. 

 

This leader will also act as a forward-looking regulatory and technology advisor - continuously monitoring evolving global laws and regulations impacting marketing, AI, data, and digital commerce to ensure the Company stays ahead of the curve and maintains its license to operate and win.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Global Marketing, Brand & Platform Leadership 

  • Lead global legal strategy for marketing, brand stewardship, consumer activations, and global marketing platforms. 

  • Enable execution of global marketing assets in partnership with Strategic Partnerships teams to maximize enterprise value (see section 2). 

  • Provide legal leadership across global visual identity standards and brand governance. 

  • Support initiatives that bring our people closer to consumers and accelerate digital commerce accessibility. 

 

2. Global Strategic Partnerships & Cultural Platform Activation 

  • Partner closely with the Strategic Partnerships Legal team and global marketing category leads to leverage and activate the Company’s global assets and partnerships across sports, music, culture, entertainment, influencers, and gaming ecosystems. 

  • Enable scalable legal frameworks that allow rapid activation of global partnerships to recruit new consumers, deepen engagement, and build incidence across priority markets. 

  • Support end-to-end execution of partnership-driven marketing platforms, ensuring consistent brand stewardship, compliant activation, and speed to market. 

  • Advice on rights management, content usage, talent engagements, and platform integrations associated with global partnerships. 

  • Work with global marketing, strategic partnerships, digital, PACS and Operating Units to translate global partnerships into locally relevant consumer experiences. 

 

 

3. Digital Marketing, Consumer Technology & AI Strategy 

  • Lead and embed the Company’s Legal AI strategy across Consumer, Customer & Commercial, and Enterprise pillars. 

  • Partner with business stakeholders to operationalize AI responsibly and at scale. 

  • Collaborate closely with Privacy, Data, Competition, and International Operations legal teams to deliver cohesive digital solutions. 

  • Enable digital activations, consumer engagement platforms, and connected experiences. 

  • Enable compliant use of consumer data to power marketing and personalization. 

 

4. Regulatory Foresight & License to Operate 

  • Maintain continuous awareness of evolving global laws and regulations impacting marketing, claims, AI, data, advertising, and digital commerce. 

  • Translate regulatory developments into proactive strategies that protect growth ambitions. 

  • Equip business leaders and stakeholders with practical guidance to operate confidently across Top 40 and priority markets. 

  • Serve as strategic advisor on emerging regulatory risks and opportunities. 

 

5. Consumer Data, Innovation & Product Enablement 

  • Support product innovation and claims strategies in collaboration with Food Law and Regulatory partners. 

  • Partner with innovation teams to accelerate launches while protecting brand integrity. 

 

6. Enterprise Digital Solutions 

  • Support enterprise systems enabling customer, commercial, and consumer digital capabilities. 

  • Drive scalable legal frameworks supporting e-commerce, CRM, loyalty, and other digital initiatives. 

 

7. Social Media & Influencer Governance 

  • Lead governance frameworks for social media, influencer marketing, and creator ecosystems. 

  • Develop playbooks supporting global consistency and speed. 

 

8. Governance, Compliance & Operational Enablement 

  • Build scalable governance models and operational standards. 

  • Drive efficiency through technology, automation, and process design. 

  • Partner with IP Operations, Digital Technology Services (DTS), and Legal Operations to modernize delivery. 

 

9. Cross-Functional Leadership & Global Alignment 

  • Co-lead a global network comprising Marketing Lawyers, Operating Unit marketing and digital counsels, and other stakeholders. 

  • Build strong partnerships with Marketing, Digital, Innovation, Strategic Partnerships, PACS, Privacy, Competition, DTS, Tax, International Operations and Operating Unit Counsels 

  • Develop future-ready capabilities across the team. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

  • Law degree with active bar membership. 

  • 12+ years experience across marketing law, digital platforms, data, technology or related disciplines, with preferably no less than 5 years law firm experience 

  • Demonstrated leadership in global, matrixed environments. 

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, consumer technology, and regulatory frameworks. 

  • Experience embedding AI strategies preferred. 

  • Executive presence with strong stakeholder influence. 

  • Strategic thinker with operational rigor. 

  • Passion for brands, technology and transformation.

Pay Range:

$236,000 - $271,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
