The Senior Director, Human Resources, Asia Pacific is responsible for leading the development and execution of HR strategies across the Asia Pacific region (excluding China). This role will drive organizational development, workforce planning, talent strategy, and cultural transformation to support business growth and operational excellence.
What will you work on?
Organization Development & Workforce Planning
Partner with the Asia Pacific Business Leader to shape the right organizational structure, operating rhythm, and capability roadmap that support long-term business priorities.
Lead workforce planning by assessing current and future capability needs, optimizing organizational design, and building a diversified, high-performing workforce.
Strengthen organizational effectiveness through data-driven OD interventions, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
Translate business, SCM, Quality, and OEM functional priorities into an integrated people strategy for the region.
Partner closely with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that enable growth, improve productivity, and build leadership strength.
Talent, Leadership & Capability Development
Attract, retain, and develop leadership and technical talent to ensure Spin Master remains competitive and future-ready.
Drive succession planning, performance management, and leadership development programs to build internal capability and strengthen the talent pipeline.
Coach functional leaders to elevate leadership effectiveness and provide candid, actionable feedback.
Culture, Employee Experience & Diversification
Lead innovative HR programs that accelerate culture transformation toward a “Respect, Trust, and Transparent Winning Culture.”
Enhance organizational diversification through inclusive talent practices, diverse hiring strategies, and equitable workforce policies.
Build strong employee engagement through values-aligned initiatives and continuous improvement of employee experience.
Compensation, Rewards & Labour Relations
Oversee compensation planning, rewards management, and engagement programs that support high performance and talent retention.
Build positive labour relations by influencing union strategies and strengthening frontline leadership capabilities.
• Ensure compensation, recognition, and workforce programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives.
HR Operations & Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the local HR team to create a high-performing, service-oriented function.
Drive strong HR governance, compliance, and project execution across the region.
What are your skills and experience?
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience within dynamic multinational organizations.
Strong track record in organization development, workforce planning, and leading major people initiatives.
Experience in M&A, integration, and emerging markets (e.g., Vietnam, Indonesia) preferred.
Exposure to multinational companies in FMCG, children’s products, toys, or entertainment sectors with similar business models is an advantage.
Ability to travel within Asia Pacific and to corporate headquarters.
Strong teamwork spirit with high integrity, accountability, agility, and commitment to building a culture of respect and trust.
Demonstrated expertise in organizational development, workforce planning, and driving diversification initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders from diverse nationalities and backgrounds.
Strong business acumen and decision-making capability; able to balance business needs with people priorities.
Solid project management, analytical skills, and the ability to work with urgency, discipline, and a proactive mindset.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred.
