Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture
The Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture is a strategic enterprise leader who partners with the Chief Technology & Information Officer to positively impact business strategy via executable architecture within a modern, product‑centric operating model. This role ensures the enterprise is designed for value delivery. By anchoring architecture in business capabilities and value streams, the Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture enables confident investment decisions, empowered product teams, and a technology landscape that evolves in lockstep with business strategy while also influencing that strategy.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Chief Technology & Information Officer, you will be empowered to:
Partner with the CTIO to align enterprise technology strategy to business priorities and product visions.
Monitor emerging business and technology trends to inform future‑state operating and technology models.
Guide major decisions across business lines, products and platforms to ensure scalability, interoperability, and long‑term value.
Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and standardize the enterprise landscape to improve agility, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Partner with executives to support strategic decisions related to operating model evolution, transformation initiatives, and investment prioritization.
Define and maintain the enterprise architecture, including business capabilities, value streams, and their alignment to strategy and outcomes.
Ensure clarity on how value flows through the organization, shaping product and platform boundaries based on business capabilities rather than systems.
Enable traceability from strategy → capabilities → value streams → products → technology investments.
Lead the establishment of architectural principles, standards, and reference architectures that enable empowered teams while maintaining enterprise coherence.
Lead architecture and technology governance grounded in business outcomes and value realization, not just technical compliance.
Build and lead high‑performing enterprise architecture and planning teams.
Grow architecture maturity across the organization through standards, coaching, and communities of practice.
Manage departmental operating and capital budgets.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Education & Experience:
10+ years in senior technology leadership roles.
5+ years in enterprise architecture, technology planning, or governance leadership.
Proven experience enabling or operating within a product‑centric or platform‑based model.
Expert in enterprise architecture principles, standards, and governance with a focus on business architecture.
Strong executive communication and enterprise influence skills.
Experience in regulated environments; Agile/Lean experience preferred
