Job Description:

The eCommerce, Experience, Change Leadership, and Launch (EECL) organization is responsible for enterprise digital commerce, Voice of Customer, and large-scale business transformation at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. EECL drives end-to-end commerce modernization, experience-led change leadership, and new product introduction governance to accelerate market adoption and profitable growth. By aligning customer and channel insights, digital platforms, and operational execution across the Lead-to-Cash value stream, this organization enables differentiated market performance and scalable innovation globally. EECL is currently leading Lead-to-Cash integration for Juniper Networks for the next 2+ years, delivering a future-ready, intelligent transactional engine designed to accelerate revenue conversion and strengthen competitive advantage in the networking industry.

The EECL Strategy, Operations, and Transformation Director will lead and direct EECL organizational orchestration and management systems, drive financial planning and management budget execution, orchestrate and align strategic plans that reflects HPE and EECL business strategies to value streams, and lead complex, cross-functional programs and transformations in support of EECL and broader HPE.

Key Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Planning and Execution: Leads and directs EECL organizational planning and priorities. Develops and drives EECL management systems, including, but not limited to, OKRs and Quarterly Operations reviews. Interface regularly with OLAA Chief of Staffs and operating model. Supports L2 with high-impact organizational, operational efficiency, and operational planning initiatives, including business transformation projects such as Lead-to-Cash (L2C) for Juniper Integration, that improve EECL’s value and HPE's profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Strategic Leadership and Transformation: Leads complex cross-functional programs and transformation initiatives within EECL and across HPE in large, matrixed technology organizations across functions and regions that include process, systems, data, and operating model adjustments. Applies financial rigor and acumen to all initiatives driving value-based decisions and value realization.
  • Communications: Skillfully parlays narrative into compelling communications that drive engagement and inspire action, such as increasing stakeholder buy-in.
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Orchestrates the development of strategic plans that reflect EECL and HPE's business strategies to advance business outcomes. Design and development of operating and business models, strategies or business transformation activities for organizational effectiveness. Demonstrates innovative thought leadership, coaching and advising L2 and L3 EECL leaders. L2 right hand on strategic oversight with new business transformation initiatives. High levels of discretion and can handle ambiguity and change.
  • Budget Management & Cost Optimization: Establishes, tracks, and enforces spending parameters to protect EECL and HPE's business, assets, and resources. Drives financial planning and budget management, including LTP planning and monthly reviews with OLAA Finance.
  • Workforce Planning: Leads and champions EECL organizational optimization to attract and retain talent, increase value stream outcome delivery, modernize capabilities and practices. Workforce planning as we continue to optimize the organization with mix of intelligent capabilities and global workforce pivot to include agentic AI roles (digital workforce). Facilitate successor management strategy across EECL.
  • Execution Management and Collaboration: Collaborates effectively with the HPE's BUs, functions, and value chain partners to ensure operational responsiveness to challenges, and alignment with business imperatives. Builds relationships and influences within EECL, OLAA, and across HPE.
  • Business and Financial Acumen: Exhibits authoritative business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations. Provides strategic advice to L2 and L3 EECL leadership regarding overall targeted growth, operation efficiency, and capital strategy initiatives.
  • Change Management: Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization. Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team performance goals and manages/drives change.

  • Operational Planning and Execution: Strong organization and detailed-oriented planning capabilities. Attention to detail. Analytical, structured thought process. Good task management across numerous fronts with multiple leaders. On-time delivery and drives good time management practices with L2 and other leaders.
  • Communications: Ability to transform narratives into compelling messages that drive action or understanding through specific examples or outcomes.
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Business and Financial Acumen:  Understands the portfolio aspect of HPE's products/services and how the businesses work together, including LTP process. Understands all BUs and Functions with strong network given EECL’s company-wide focus. Focus on value delivery and outcomes attainment across value streams.
  • Change Management: Proven ability to lead effectively and execute through complex, multi-faceted change.
  • Problem Solving: Approaches problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.

Education and Experience Required:

  • 17+ years total experience. Often 10+ years of post-advanced degree experience leading highly visible deals and the company's financial improvement initiatives in management consulting, corporate strategy. Experience in developing and driving operational efficiencies and management systems. Project/Program management experience.
  • MBA highly desired, or advanced university degree. Bachelor’s degree required.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
– United States of America: Annual Salary USD 161,000 - 389,500 in Texas
The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
