Position Overview

The Senior Director, Corporate Development is a senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer. This individual will lead initiatives that connect corporate development activities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and new market entry, with a cohesive, market-facing narrative that drives client acquisition, and revenue growth. This is a highly visible role for a strategic thinker who understands that the best deals are won through compelling positioning as much as financial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated corporate development strategies that align with organizational growth objectives, ensuring new partnerships and acquisitions amplify market presence.

• Develop a strategic M&A agenda and actively pursue, evaluate and execute on targets.

• Lead go-to-market strategy for new business ventures, partnerships, and expanded service lines, translating deal activity into compelling external narratives.

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships, alliances, and market expansion opportunities.

• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to inform both corporate development priorities and marketing positioning.

• Strong understanding of technology on both our products and the broader tech landscape.

• Present corporate development and marketing strategy recommendations to C-suite and Board stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, compelling business cases.

• Build and lead a cross-functional team by working very closely with the business to evaluate potential targets (strategic fit, synergies, financials) and drive decision-making.

• Track KPIs across both business development and marketing channels to measure ROI and continuously optimize strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or Strategy strongly preferred.

• 8-10 years of progressive experience spanning corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting.

• Experience with post-merger integration would be a real plus

• Demonstrated success leading both business development initiatives and market-facing marketing strategies.

• Strong financial acumen with the ability to build business cases, evaluate partnerships, and assess market opportunities.

• Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, able to craft compelling narratives for both external audiences and executive stakeholders.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority in a matrixed organization.
