Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the NA General medicines Business Unit sponsor and value owner for execution of digital modernization roadmap across all therapeutic areas under US General Medicines, connecting with NA Go To Market Capabilities (GTMC) and Digital NA teams to establish cross-TA implementation plans with clear commercial outcomes and accountability.

  • Drive integrated brand planning by aligning Brands, Digital, and GTMC on a unified digital agenda across all GenMed therapeutic areas—transforming fragmented initiatives into a coordinated portfolio.

  • Provide commercial insights and business impact analysis to inform digital strategy and prioritization decisions, ensuring BU operational challenges, growth opportunities, and customer needs are represented in the digital roadmap.

  • Drive ruthless prioritization of digital initiatives, serving a strategic filter to focus resources on highest-impact opportunities that align with core business objectives.

  • Own the business readiness and change management strategy for digital initiatives within General Medicines U.S., ensuring organizational preparedness, stakeholder alignment, and sustainable adoption, serving as a champion to advocate for digital standards across US General Medicines.

  • Shape the executive business narrative on AI and digital transformation for US General Medicines by partnering with Head of Digital & NA GTMC to communicate progress, elevate AI adoption stories, and demonstrate measurable impact- building organizational confidence and momentum for continued investment.

  • Lead the business strategy definition in terms of AI & digital adoption within US General Medicines by identifying BU-specific cases, driving business cases development, and defining tailored learning pathways in collaboration with Sanofi Learning institutes.

  • Serve as the primary business voice and advocate for General Medicines U.S. commercial priorities, ensuring digital strategy and investments address BU-specific operational challenges and growth objectives.

  • Partnering with the Head of Digital NA and NA GTMC, translate enterprise digital strategy into actionable, BU-specific execution plans with clear accountability for commercial outcomes and measurable business impact.

  • Lead business process transformation and automation opportunities from a BU perspective defining success criteria and ensuring business readiness for quarterly releases delivered by GTMC and Digital.  Apply deep commercial and therapeutic understanding to define automation use cases that optimize workflows across sales, HCP engagement, and patient services.

  • Drive adoption and sustained utilization of digital tools and AI capabilities within the Commercial Business Unit, ensuring teams are equipped to leverage technology for enhanced performance.

  • Identify function-specific AI/digital use cases and create role-based hands-on application opportunities that translate enterprise upskilling programs into practical commercial value.

  • Establish adoption metrics and feedback loops to measure capability maturity and inform continuous improvement.

  • Translate patient, HCP, and commercial needs, partnering with Digital and GTMC to ensure scalable solutions are designed for adoption and measurable business impact.

  • Lead the development of business requirements and success criteria for the digital-enabled go-to-market models across sales, HCP engagement, and direct-to-patient channels within the BU.

  • Represent General Medicines as the senior business stakeholder in defining requirements and validating commercial outcomes for enterprise solutions. Own the end-to-end adoption journey for digital solutions within the BU, including training, change management, performance monitoring, and iterative optimization based on user feedback and business outcomes.

  • Develop and present business cases, providing commercial perspective on speed, scalability, cost, and long-term value to inform build–buy–partner investment decisions.

  • Support assessment of AI and advanced digital solutions through a commercial lens, defining clear success criteria and organizational readiness requirements

  • Rigorously evaluate business value of proposed digital capabilities using defined KPIs, providing recommendations to support prioritization decisions.

  • Act as the General Medicines U.S. Leadership Team's primary liaison for digital execution, translating business needs into clear, prioritized requirements and owning delivery accountability within the BU.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, PSS, Marketing, Digital, GTMC, Legal, and external partners to ensure integrated planning, seamless execution and adoption.

  • Leverage experience across adjacent industries to bring external best practices into BU-specific digital transformation efforts.

  • Own the feedback loop between business users and digital teams, capturing insights on solution performance, user experience, and business impact to inform continuous improvement and future roadmap priorities.

  • Establish and monitor adoption metrics and business outcome KPIs, providing regular reporting to BU leadership on digital maturity, capability utilization, and value realization.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in digital transformation, commercial operations, or strategic business roles within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries

  • 5+ years in leadership roles with demonstrated success building and executing multi-year digital strategies with measurable business impact

  • Proven track record leading large-scale technology modernization initiatives, including go-to-market transformations and digital automation programs

  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercial models, including field sales, HCP engagement, and patient-centric marketing strategies

  • Strong therapeutic area knowledge with ability to translate clinical and patient journey insights into digital solutions

  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives across Medical, Commercial, PSS, Digital/IT, Data Management, and external vendor ecosystems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in adjacent industries (Medical Devices, Healthcare Providers, Consulting, or Health Tech) with transferable best practices

  • Direct experience with AI/ML solution evaluation, vendor management, and technology deployment at scale

  • Proven track record in General Medicines, specialty pharma, or managing diverse product portfolios across multiple therapeutic areas

  • Experience with direct-to-patient digital channels and omnichannel engagement strategies

  • Consulting background with expertise in business process reengineering and organizational change management

  • Strong business acumen with ability to assess ROI, define value drivers, and prioritize competing investments using data-driven frameworks

  • Expertise in build-buy-partner decision frameworks and vendor evaluation methodologies

  • Knowledge of modern digital platforms, automation technologies, CRM systems, and data analytics tools used in pharmaceutical commercialization

  • Understanding of AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies with ability to translate innovation into practical business applications

  • Proficiency in agile delivery methodologies and quarterly release planning 

  • Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable digital requirements

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills to influence senior leadership and drive organizational alignment

  • Proven ability to lead through influence in matrixed organizations without direct authority

  • Change management expertise with track record of driving adoption of new technologies and ways of working

Education:

The salary range for this position is:

$206,250.00 - $297,916.66
