Salesforce is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Senior Director, to support the organization’s strategy, growth, and operational excellence. As a leader in the Controllership Centre of Excellence (COE) of our EMEA operations, responsibilities will be around developing and designing complex and high-risk accounting processes across the EMEA region and globally. The environment is dynamic and the role will lead daily activities within certain areas of the CoE, provide strong technical accounting, and project management skills. You will adeptly collaborate with internal (Finance, HR, internal audit, etc.) and external (auditors, regulators, etc) stakeholders, gain leadership experience and help develop staff so that they are able to act when requirements are ambiguous or evolving.

Impact:

  • Lead a team supporting the local Compliance obligations for entities across Europe

  • As a key Contact person on operations, coordinate compliance work calendar with other Salesforce Compliance accounting teams and Tax and legal compliance departments

  • Support and leadership for the controllership Global Process Owner (GPO) program

  • Support the continuous training and development of the team, especially in relation to international accounting, tax and compliance

  • Support ad-hoc projects undertaken by the Global Accounting organisation

​​Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in the International accounting environment of which 5+ years of managerial experience

  • Robust experience with SOX audit framework

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related subject area

  • Ability to drive work independently, identifying solutions, moving them to implementation, and developing long-range strategies

  • Experience in managing local compliance obligations and technical accounting matters

  • Team player; self-starter; results-oriented; 'can do' attitude; hands-on approach who is able to work with virtual, global & cross functional teams

  • Develops, maintains, and strengthens partnerships with others inside and outside the immediate organization who provide decision making, information, or support

  • Must be able to multitask, work efficiently under tight deadlines and proactively track and report progress

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to “engage in the conversation”Ability to present information in a professional and easy-to-understand way
    Experience with various data and reporting tools; e.g Tableau

  • Qualified or certified accountant (ACA, ACCA)

  • Ability/fluency in other languages
