Digital Product Manager/Owner - IT -

As a Digital Product Manager/Owner for Enterprise Archive services, you will be the strategic driver for a critical internal digital product at P&G. This role involves setting priorities, defining the roadmap, and guiding the development of solutions that manage "archive class data" across the organization. You'll work at the intersection of IT, legal, tax, and global records management, ensuring long-term data preservation, optimizing costs, and exploring cutting-edge solutions like AI for enhanced search. Job Description:
The Digital Product Manager/Owner for Enterprise Archive services involves setting priorities for this critical internal digital product within the organization. This includes translating the specific needs of business teams for archiving, disposing of, storing, and maintaining "archive class data" into valuable, feasible, and usable user stories, personas, user journeys, and user flows. The role requires deep collaboration with key partners such as Global Records Management, Tax, Legal, and IT teams to prioritize the product backlog, ensuring compliance with corporate retention policies, optimizing costs by decommissioning legacy systems, and making data-driven decisions based on complex, multivariable environments related to data lifecycle management. The role will also explore and integrate innovative solutions, such as AI for enhanced search and support, to continuously improve the Enterprise Archive offering.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Define and align the strategy for Enterprise Archive solutions, ensuring adherence to P&G's corporate data retention policies, legal/tax compliance, and IT infrastructure strategy. This includes driving the strategy for archiving legacy solutions, managing ongoing archiving needs, and supporting data disposal processes.

  • Translate business team needs for archive class data management into valuable, feasible, and usable user stories, focusing on secure storage, efficient retrieval (especially during audits), and compliant disposal.

  • Drive the digital product strategy and define the roadmap for Enterprise Archive, incorporating future enhancements such as AI-powered chatbot support, and data quality monitoring tools, as well as critical initiatives like finalizing financial data retention procedures.

  • Collaborate with key partners including Global Records Management, Tax, Legal, and external teams to prioritize the product backlog, manage archival projects, and ensure the product meets evolving compliance and business needs.

  • Make data-driven decisions regarding product features, project prioritization, and operational improvements, leveraging insights from data usage, customer satisfaction, and cost-benefit analyses to optimize the Enterprise Archive.

  • Develop and run experiments to validate or disprove concepts, enhance archival solutions and user experience, and to optimize existing processes for efficiency and compliance.

  • Communicate the status of the digital product to stakeholders and guide the digital product team on "what" should be built.

  • Create personas, user journeys, and user flows to ensure a user-centric approach to archive solutions.

  • Drive Agile ceremonies and work with agile teams to bring digital products to life.

  • Is the "go-to" person for other teams in relation to digital products, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Possesses a deep understanding of customer needs and can translate them into valuable, feasible, and usable user stories.

  • Thrives in complex, multivariable environments and is adept at making data-driven decisions.

  • Is passionate about driving strategy and defining roadmaps for digital products.

  • Demonstrates a willingness to share insights and actively participates in teamwork, fostering collaboration across IT, business, and legal/compliance functions.

  • Is proactive in exploring and integrating innovative solutions, such as AI, to continuously improve offerings.

  • Can define and lead the work necessary to shape team dynamics or IT practices, particularly in the context of digital product management and data lifecycle governance.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • At least one role with two or more diverse experiences, demonstrating a broad understanding of IT and business processes.

  • Demonstrated depth of applied IT skills with 5+ years of experience in Digital Product , with a strong understanding of data management, archiving principles, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • One or more Digital Product management certifications: Scrum, SaFE

  • Familiarity with the data management and data lifecycle including asset classification

  • Archival services or Products/platforms is preferred: e.g., Opentext Info archive

  • Working with external partners and SaaS/Paas based platform to deliver the outcome

  • Agile Product development and delivery.
