Job Description Summary
The Senior Digital Product Owner is a new position in a growing team and portfolio. The senior digital PO is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Digital Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. They will work closely with the Lead Product Owners.
The Senior Digital Product Owner will sit on the CenterWell Experience Transformation's CenterWell Digital Product team and work directly with the digital development team responsible for building and maintaining CenterWell's digital experience portfolio. CenterWell is a subsidiary of Humana which focus on care delivery – including Pharmacy, Primary Care and Home Health. The digital portfolio consists of new and existing experiences and encompasses CenterWell.com, patient identification and authentication experience and our patient authenticated experience. These products collaborate with Humana Insurance as well as non-Humana insurance patients.

Job Description

The Senior Product Owner maximizes value of product created by Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order and by the desired deadline. Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

As part of the product team, a successful Product Owner should fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the entire Product team, business unit and platform product teams and stakeholders to understand and anticipate desired needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements, at a user story level.
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development.
  • Writing and refining user stories.
  • Influence the refinement process of epics and features.
  • Participating and leading Scrum meetings and product sprints.

Typically requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years of technical experience

Requirements/Highly Desired:

  • 2-3 years of Digital product experience
  • Agile, preferably safe or scrum, experience
  • Experience working in health care or another regulated, large bureaucratic environment
  • Curiosity, eager to learn and integrate and apply those learnings
  • Proactive, desire to collaborate, and grow in their product knowledge
  • Combination of technical + experiential/business knowledge or ability
  • Excited and comfortable to build new, in a growing, scaling team

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$94,900 - $130,500 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
