We are looking for a Senior DevOps Specialist – PDM & AWS to provide strong technical ownership and operational leadership for KONE’s Product Data Management (PDM) platforms and related AWS‑based services.
This is a senior technical authority role with end‑to‑end accountability for the reliability, resilience, and operational excellence of PDM‑related services. You are responsible not only for hands‑on execution when needed, but for setting operational standards, leading complex incidents, governing production readiness, and driving long‑term improvements across AWS‑based environments.
You act as a trusted technical partner to product, platform, and business stakeholders, and as the primary operational escalation point for PDM services. The role requires deep technical judgment, strong leadership under pressure, and the ability to influence teams and suppliers to protect service continuity and platform sustainability.
What You Will Do
Own the end‑to‑end operational health of PDM‑related digital products, components, and AWS‑based services, ensuring high availability, stability, security, and maintainability.
Define and maintain operational architecture and service standards for PDM platforms, ensuring scalability and resilience in global production environments.
Govern production readiness and go‑live decisions, ensuring operational risks are understood and mitigated before releases.
Act as the senior incident leader for major and cross‑domain PDM incidents, coordinating internal teams and external suppliers to ensure fast containment, clear communication, and executive‑level visibility.
Own problem management and root cause governance, ensuring recurring or systemic issues are addressed through structural, long‑term fixes rather than tactical workarounds.
Define and drive operational excellence initiatives across PDM, including observability, automation, documentation quality, data accuracy, and service management maturity.
Translate operational pain points and risks into roadmap‑level improvements, working closely with product, platform, and architecture teams.
Champion reliability, availability, and security as core quality attributes embedded into ways of working.
Provide technical leadership and operational direction to operations team, holding them accountable to agreed service levels, operational standards, and continuous improvement targets.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, translating complex technical and operational topics into clear decisions and priorities.
Actively contribute to and influence agile and DevOps ways of working, leading task forces and cross‑team initiatives when needed.
What We’re Looking For
Technical skills
Expert‑level, hands‑on experience operating AWS‑based production environments, including monitoring, automation, incident response, change management, and operational optimization.
Strong understanding of PLM/PDM platforms, product structures, and product data flows, with the ability to assess operational impact on business‑critical processes.
Deep practical knowledge of DevOps, Agile, and ITIL‑based service management, and how they apply to complex digital product operations.
Proven experience leading major incidents, problem management, and root cause analysis across multiple teams and suppliers.
Ability to work with service design, CMDB, and technical architecture documentation, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and continuity.
Preferred experience
Senior‑level experience supporting and evolving cloud‑based, global production services.
Background in PLM/PDM or engineering data‑intensive environments.
Experience working in cross‑functional, multi‑vendor ecosystems with shared operational accountability.
Soft skills
Acts with authority and composure under pressure, providing clear direction during ambiguity and incidents.
Strong customer and business perspective, ensuring operational decisions prioritize service continuity and user value.
Excellent technical judgment, able to make and defend decisions involving risk, trade‑offs, and uncertainty.
Influential collaborator, capable of challenging teams and suppliers constructively to protect long‑term platform health.
Structured, detail‑oriented working style with strong communication and documentation discipline.
Recognized as a go‑to expert for PDM operations, reliability, and production readiness.
Education and certifications
University degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Certifications or formal training in AWS, DevOps, ITIL4, Agile leadership, or related operational practices are considered an advantage.
Solid foundational understanding of product development and PLM‑related lifecycle processes
