WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US  

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at SimCorp. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless delivery, integration, and reliability of our cloud-based solutions that support automation, monitoring, and orchestration. As part of a cross-functional team, you will combine your expertise in software development and IT operations to enhance deployment pipelines, automation, and develop and maintain essential monitoring solutions to ensure high service availability. You will promote continuous improvement through feedback and collaboration with peers and stakeholders. 

 
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights 

  • Ensure quality in our solutions 

  • Guide and mentor junior members of the team 

  • Development of new solutions and continuous optimization of the existing 

  • Research tools and frameworks to enable future innovations 

  • Write and maintain high quality documentation of our solutions 

 

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field 

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud operations 

  • Strong experience with Azure services, infrastructure, pipelines and automation tools 

  • Experience with containerized deployments and Kubernetes 

  • Experience with infrastructure creation and application deployment using Terraform and Ansible 

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, etc. 

  • Hands-on experience utilizing .NET technologies, with a focus on C#  

  • Solid understanding of monitoring and alerting 

  • Hands-on experience with KQL 

  • Hands-on experience in setting up application monitoring 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions 

  • Open to explore different views 

  • Effective communicator who is not hesitant to speak up when needed 

  • Experience working in an international setting with people from many different cultures 

  • Proactive and self-driven approach 

  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing) 

  • Based in Toronto with the ability to attend the office at least two days per week
