So, what’s the role all about?

The DevOps Engineer works as an integrated part of a software engineering team with specific focus on facilitating and building automated pipelines for continuous delivery of the team's deliverables with guaranteed production-level quality and supportability.

How will you make an impact? 

  • Act as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) for DevOps practices, providing direction on architecture, scalability, and security across projects. 
  • Define DevOps standards, frameworks, and governance models to drive consistency across all teams. 
  • Collaborate with Managers, Architects, and Product Owners to align DevOps strategies with business goals. 
  • Mentor and upskill DevOps engineers through technical reviews, workshops, and continuous learning initiatives. 
  • Evaluate emerging tools and technologies; drive proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to improve automation maturity and efficiency.
  • Cloud Architecture: Design, optimize, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, etc.). 
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and implement reusable IaC modules using Terraform and CloudFormation for multi-environment provisioning. 
  • CI/CD Excellence: Build and enhance robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions & Workflows, integrating automated testing, security scans, and multi-stage deployment strategies. 
  • Containerization: Lead container strategy using Docker; implement orchestration via ECS or EKS ensuring scalability and resilience. 
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop advanced automation scripts and tools using Python to optimize build, deployment, and operational processes. 
  • Monitoring & Observability: Design and maintain proactive monitoring and alerting frameworks using AWS CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus/Grafana stacks. 

 Have you got what it takes?

  • Experience: 10-14 years of experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture, high availability, and resiliency.
  • IaC Tools: Advanced proficiency with Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD Tools: Expert-level knowledge in Jenkins and GitHub Actions/Workflows including pipeline-as-code principles.
  • Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python, Shell, or Groovy.
  • Containers: Proven experience in Docker and AWS ECS based deployments.
  • Automation: Solid understanding of automation frameworks
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect / Terraform Associate.
