Join us as our Senior DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) at Dedalus, one of the World’s leading healthcare technology companies, in Wien with possibility of Hybrid Working to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact in providing better care for a healthier planet.
Your Tasks:
Architect, deploy, and operate DevOps tooling ecosystems, including source control, build, artifact management, code quality, and deployment platforms
Design, develop, and configure CI/CD pipelines, including active contribution to the migration from Jenkins to GitHub Action
Provide expert guidance and proximity support to R&D and Scrum teams on CI/CD usage, DevOps tooling, and best practices, ensuring efficient and standardized adoption
Support On‑Premises to AWS Cloud transformation initiatives, advising teams on DevOps, deployment, and cloud‑related aspect
Contribute directly to technical solutions in close collaboration with software developers, QA, and other transversal teams
Promote and validate the integration of automation, code quality, and security controls within CI/CD workflows
Build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to evaluate new tools, technologies, or approaches, including RAG‑based solutions, to improve developer experience and delivery efficiency
Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps practices, standards, and documentation through feedback, experimentation, and Agile participation
Maintain clear and up to date technical documentation for platforms, pipelines, and operational procedures
You bring in:
A Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience with bachelor.
Medical or healthcare domain knowledge is a plus
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DevOps or a related engineering role
Prior experience as a Full‑Stack Software Developer, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals, including on‑premises and cloud environments (AWS)
Key Technical Skills:
CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Version control: Git, GitHub (Pull Requests, code reviews, workflows)
Build & quality tools: Maven, NPM, SonarQube, artifact repositories (e.g. Nexus)
Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
Cloud computing: AWS fundamentals and hybrid On‑Prem / Cloud environments
Scripting & automation: Bash, PowerShell, Groovy
Application technologies awareness: Java (Jakarta), JavaScript / Angular
Operating systems: Linux/UNIX and Windows
Knowledge Areas:
Agile and Scrum methodologies
Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Infrastructure fundamentals (systems, networking, virtualization, cloud)
CI/CD standards, best practices, and governance
DORA standards
Advanced English and German + eventual French skills

The minimum salary for this position is € 55.400 gross per year (38.5 working hours per week) according to the IT-collective agreement, an overpayment plus bonus arrangement depending on qualification/experience is self-evident for us.
