Ciena is looking for a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will design and maintain robust infrastructure, support continuous integration and deployment processes, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
How You Will Contribute
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software builds, testing, and deployments.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and peak performance.
Collaborate with software development teams to understand application requirements and deliver tailored infrastructure solutions.
Evaluate, select, and integrate emerging technologies and tools to enhance DevOps workflows and practices.
Participate actively in Agile processes, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, tools, and infrastructure.
Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines to ensure product security and compliance.
The Must Haves
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Proficiency in modern DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and Linux distributions.
Experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash for automation.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools to enhance security and compliance.
Excellent communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and demonstrated assertiveness in decision-making.
Nice to Haves
Knowledge of emerging cloud-native technologies and frameworks.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration.
Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Exposure to hybrid cloud environments.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering team collaboration.
