Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) - Payments

*We are looking for Poland based candidate. The job is mainly remote but requires some trips to Sweden (every 6 weeks for 2-3 days).

The Project

Join a greenfield IT transformation in the fintech sector, working with Java 21/Spring Boot and a strong focus on software quality and Craftsmanship practices. We are currently looking for a skilled, product-oriented DevOps Software Engineer to join one of our product-focused DevOps teams.It’s a great opportunity to help businesses of all shapes and sizes to accelerate their growth journey - quickly, simply, and securely. Delivering a fantastic payment experience that the customers love is what drives us forward. Our cloud-native acquiring platform processes billions of card transactions, including authorization processing and clearing & settlement, ensuring trust and reliability for our customers.

Your new responsibilities include:

  • Active participation and contribution in all phases of the product lifecycle including discovery, delivery and operations
  • Delivering your team’s committed objectives, adapting to whatever is needed to reach the goal you and your team have committed to reach
  • Acting as a role model for your team and others by paying attention to commitment, accountability and the true outcome for yourself, your team, our customers and internal users

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or another relevant field.
  • Experience in software development including Java, Python and SQL etc.
  • Experience in high-available micro-services and serverless architecture and design leveraging on the AWS cloud for scalability and resilience.
  • Experience in:
    • AWS cloud services including DynamoDB, Lambdas, S3 etc.
    • Infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation
    • Continuous delivery pipelines using Jenkins and GIT
    • Docker
  • Fluency in English

Additionally:

  • Good communication and presentation abilities
  • Highly collaborative attitude, setting your team first while also successfully collaborating with others
  • Being comfortable in a fast-moving and agile culture - handling many different stakeholders, prioritizations and fast decisions is not an issue for you
  • Previous experience from the card-payment industry, preferably acquiring processing or other transaction intense industry where scale is important that’s a big advantage
