We are seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to build and maintain the core infrastructure that powers development, deployment, and production environments. This role is critical to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across our systems. You will own and optimize platforms and services such as B&T, artifact management, source control, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps development.

Our Group:

The Optical Diagnostics and Control (ODC) Business Unit is a leading division within Applied Materials focused on developing advanced inspection and diagnostics solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. 
We work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, combining strong technical skills with the flexibility needed to keep up with changing industry needs.



Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust DevOps infrastructure and development for large-scale production environments. 
  • Drive operational excellence across CI/CD pipelines, artifact repositories, and source control systems. 
  • Configure and install Kubernetes clusters, ensuring best practices for scalability and security. 
  • Architect Kubernetes-based solutions and enable automatic service deployment across environments. 
  • Mentor and guide SW engineers to learn principles and acquire knowledge in the DevOps domain
  • Support SW engineers with the DevOps related aspects of the SDLC.


Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. 
  • 4+ years in DevOps/Software Development w/ DevOps related orientation
  • Hands-on experience with Artifactory, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, and major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). 
  • Proven track record in Agile environments. 
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) architecture, cluster configuration, and service orchestration. 
  • Strong Linux OS understanding and administration. 
  • Bash scripting
  • Expertise in CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Docker\container, Kubernetes, Helm Charts). 
  • Experience managing large-scale, high-availability systems. 
  • Software development skills (preferably Java/Python) – advantage. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Team player 
  • Good English communication skill and presentation
