Job Title: Cloud Developer & DevOps Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Developer & DevOps Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud applications while ensuring smooth, automated CI/CD pipelines. You will leverage a broad range of technologies, including AWS, Terraform, Jfrog, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions ,Kyverno and more to enable fast, secure, and efficient development and operations. You will be working in a collaborative environment to implement solutions across both development and operations, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Development (50%):
  • AWS Development: Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native applications and services on AWS, focusing on infrastructure and services like AWS EKS for container orchestration, S3 for storage, OpenSearch Serverless for search and analytics, and other AWS services as required.

  • Python & Java Development: Write clean, scalable code using Python and Java. Develop serverless applications, microservices, and backend systems.

  • API Development & Security: Develop and expose secure APIs, ensuring integration with API Management services for authentication, authorization, and overall API security.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with other developers and product teams to ensure cloud architecture aligns with overall business requirements and best practices.

DevOps (50%):
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage infrastructure using Terraform to provision and configure AWS resources efficiently, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across environments.

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage GitHub Actions for seamless Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), automating builds, tests, and deployments across the application lifecycle.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Build and maintain containers using Docker, create base images for application deployment,

  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain Datadog for application and infrastructure monitoring, ensuring reliable logging, metrics, and alerting for production systems.

  • Identity and Access Management: Integrate Okta as the main Identity Provider (IdP) to manage authentication and user access across all services, ensuring security and compliance.

  • Optimization & Performance: Continuously optimize systems for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability in a cloud environment.

  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Support development teams by ensuring the infrastructure aligns with best practices and application requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, including key services such as EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.

  • CI/CD Tools: Expertise in GitHub for version control, and GitHub Actions for automating build, test, and deployment pipelines.

  • Containers & Orchestration: Strong knowledge of containerization using Docker, and container orchestration via AWS EKS or other Kubernetes-based platforms.

  • Monitoring & Observability: Experience using Datadog for monitoring and alerting, including integration with AWS resources and custom application metrics.

  • API Management & Security: Familiarity with APIM for API security, and a strong understanding of API authentication, authorization, and general security best practices.

  • Identity & Access Management: Experience with Okta or similar Identity Providers (IdPs) for Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity federation.

  • Programming: Proficiency in Python for backend and automation tasks, and Java for microservices or other cloud-based development tasks.

  • Serverless & Event-Driven: Understanding of serverless architectures and how to design and implement scalable event-driven solutions.

  • Version Control: Strong proficiency in Git for source code management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Databases: Experience with AWS RDS, DynamoDB, or similar cloud databases.

  • Open Source Tools: Knowledge of OpenSearch Serverless for search and analytics solutions.

  • Networking: Understanding of networking principles, particularly in the context of VPC, subnets, and security groups in AWS.

  • Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security practices, including the use of encryption, firewalls, and best practices in securing cloud infrastructure.

  • Agile Practices: Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with tools like Jira or Trello.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Cloud Development and DevOps roles, with at least 2 years working directly with AWS.

  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
