Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Development/Technical Design Associate specializing in Kids Wear to join our team in Gurgaon, India. This on-site role will support our Design team based in Gurugram by managing the technical design process, developing comprehensive tech packs, and contributing to trend research, fabric so and new business projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, an eye for detail, and the ability to translate creative direction into high-quality digital assets.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the customer requirements to develop and refine product designs for kidswear, ensuring alignment with brand vision and market trends.
- Create detailed technical sketches, tech packs, and specification sheets for kids wear using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and Browzwear under the guidance of the Design head.
- Update and maintain tech packs throughout the product development process, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support the Designer in creating presentation materials, including digital assets, mood boards, and visual aids for design reviews and product launches.
- Conduct research on inspirational brands and contribute to trend decks and shop reports based on photos and information provided from relevant websites.
- Assist in the development of digital assets required for marketing, presentations, and other brand needs.
- Participate in new business projects, supporting the expansion into additional categories such as accessories by creating initial designs, tech packs, and digital assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive product development and successful launches.
- Conduct comprehensive research by visiting local stores, exploring online, collecting market insights, and performing competitive analysis.
- Lead the creation of detailed tech packs for customer samples, ensuring that they meet quality standards and align with customer expectations.
- Regularly update tech packs as per customer-requested changes and diligently maintain accurate details to ensure that new samples are produced with the correct specifications.
- Support Designers in revising sketches as required and creating line sheets that can incorporate design updates while ensuring coherence and clarity.
- In charge of all follow-ups regarding fabric sourcing and trim development through overseas communication
- Keep competitor shop reports updated with the latest items, images, color variations, and pricing details, providing valuable insights to stay competitive in the market.
- Responsible for tracking the progress of samples, ensuring their timely delivery, and keeping the sample tracking report updated.
- Generate and update Trend Decks and presentations, involving the creation of new trend decks, updating layouts, and conducting comprehensive trend research.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in managing requests, deadlines, and workloads most efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in product development and technical design, specifically within the kidswear category.
- Prior experience working with global teams, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively and manage time zone differences.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office; experience with Browzwear or other 3D design software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of technical construction, garment fitting, and kids-specific design considerations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines, working independently while also collaborating effectively with the regional office team in India.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong sense of aesthetics and quality, with knowledge of global market trends and consumer preferences.

• Experience working remotely with global teams, particularly in a cross-cultural context.
• Knowledge of sustainable and ethical production practices in the apparel industry.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new projects and shifting priorities.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

• Self-sufficiency in handling projects and working independently, with the capacity to multitask and meet
deadlines efficiently.
• Advanced proficiency in software tools such as the Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Candidates from Delhi-NCR will be preferred.
