Senior Design/Design Engineer-Installation Engineering

Job Description:

• Develop installation layouts and detailed drawings Utilities Maintenance Trucks, ensuring compatibility with aerial units and chassis
• Create installation-specific 3D models using SolidWorks, focusing on accurate fitment and assembly.
• Perform stability and weight distribution analysis for components prior to installation.
• Conduct limited structural FEA on new installation components to validate strength and safety
• Prepare installation documentation (assembly instructions, torque specs, alignment guides).
• Support on-site installation activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and design specifications.
• Participate in Pre-Release and CDR meetings to ensure installation considerations are integrated early.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to resolve installation challenges.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Configuration Management, working with neutral format files received from vendors and basic FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems integration and installation best practices.
• Good English communication and presentation skills for technical discussions and customer interactions.
