As a Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the technical development of Integrated Thermal Management Systems modules (ITMS), from early customer engagement and requirement integration to full project execution. Working in an ASPICE‑compliant environment, you will guide design decisions and drive best‑in‑class engineering solutions using JE production technologies. Your expertise will be central to delivering robust, cost‑optimized products that exceed customer expectations.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Design, develop and modifying ITMS modules and related components in accordance with JEI standards and JEI change management process, including ASPICE for system level engineering across the company

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams across the company to ensure alignment across all development activities

  • Propose technical solutions and perform design review for assembly and test fixture concepts

  • Translate research ideas into technical plans using CAD/CAE/CFD tools according to internal processes, including change management process

  • Prepare technical and project documentation according to JE procedures, including project reviews

  • Collect and analyzing data obtained from prototype testing

  • Represent design engineering in customer meetings for both development and product care activities

  • Apply quality system procedure and support quality issue resolution by identifying root causes and developing sorting methods

  • Support standardization by defining and applying standard engineering processes and best practice to new development

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • Ideally 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in automotive field

  • Solid understanding of design and engineering procedures, including technical knowledge of modern manufacturing technologies in plastic and metal processing, as well as hydraulics

  • Experience with modern 3D engineering tools and CFD software, preferably Unigraphics NX

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an independent, systematic working approach

  • Excellent communication skills, with strong initiative and attention to detail

  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain a structured workflow under demanding conditions

  • Good customer relationship management skills

  • Willingness to occasionally travel within and outside of Europe

  • Proficiency in English and good knowledge of either German or French
