Department Overview

APAC Demand Planning within Motorola Solutions Supply Chain is responsible for managing the volume planning process across selected product categories for the APAC region. Demand Planner analyze data and work closely with the Supply , Business Operations and Sales department to ensure the business is ready to handle the expected demand. Utilizing advanced statistical forecast methods to achieve optimal demand signal accuracy and consistency. Being the front of end of Supply Chain, sending accurate demand is key for total Supply Chain success.


Job Description

Core Strategic Pillars

Ⅰ. The Consensus Catalyst

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead the regional S&OP pulse by partnering with Business Ops, Product Management, Sales, and Service/Repair.

  • Dynamic Alignment: Synthesize revenue outlooks and bookings against forecasts to ensure our material pipeline is always in sync with financial targets.

  • The Bridge: Connect regional management and global team members across multiple time zones with seamless communication.

Ⅱ. Intelligent Forecasting & AI Mastery

  • Predictive Modeling: Move beyond basic averages. Use advanced statistical models to analyze business trends and quantify risks.

  • The Digital Advantage: Leverage AI-driven forecasting and Tableau to transform raw data into a visual narrative for executive decision-making.

  • Scalability: Build "Global-Ready" frameworks today that can be exported to other regions tomorrow.

Ⅲ. Lifecycle & Inventory Integrity

  • Product Evolution: Manage the delicate balance of NPI (New Product Introduction) and product cancellations to protect the supply chain.

  • E&O Defense: Partner with inventory teams to design aggressive mitigation plans for Excess & Obsolescence, shielding the business from financial leakage.

  • Strategic Allocation: Command the prioritization of materials during supply constraints to ensure zero customer impact.

Performance Benchmarks (KPIs)

You are accountable for the "North Star" metrics of the supply chain:

  • Forecast Accuracy & Bias (Regional)

  • Demand Stability

  • Inventory Health & E&O Reduction

  • On-Time Delivery (OTD)


Basic Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in supply chain/demand planning.

  • First class communication & presentation skills to engage partners & stakeholder.

  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of basic Supply Chain principles.

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, or equivalent

  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet is required (creating and presenting quantitative, summarized data via spreadsheets, pivot tables and graphs).

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.

  • Positive and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement, solid time management skills, ability to work independently without continuous supervision.

  •  Self-starter with enthusiasm, flexibility, and motivation to progress.

  • Experience with Oracle, Dementra, Tableau, & SQL is a plus.

  • Experience with Gemini or other AI tools in creating solutions would be added advantage
