For our Electrophysiology Division, we are recruiting a Senior Demand Planner EMEA to be based in our office in Zaventem, Belgium.
The Demand Planner EMEA provides leadership and direction to manage results of functional Demand Planning groups and drive continuous improvement in the processes and IT systems to support.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting critical components of monthly S&OP processes including but not limited to: consensus forecasts, cross-functional assumption alignment, and management review presentations. Regularly perform sales forecasts and influence those outside of direct control, resolving conflicts to deliver consensus forecasts across the functional groups.
Coordinate with commercial management to develop product lifecycle and transition strategies for new products and flexible strategies to accommodate uncertainty. Develop and align organization around standard set of procedures and drive adherence to accountability. Provide regular benchmarking and adjust processes where beneficial.
Provide aggregate level guidance to Sales and Finance of expected quantify and product mix availability for tenders and bulk quarterly purchases.
Ensure product allocation strategies for product launch and extended backorder scenarios. Provide tools and reports, along with appropriate alternates. Ensure consistency of allocation strategy with Sales and Marketing priorities.
In coordination with Customer Service, develop metrics, communication protocols and mitigation strategies around backorder management.
Provide aggregate level planning for consignment and rep stock levels in support of global Sales and Operations Planning. This will include time phased needs assessment and impacts of expiration dating.
Develop and manage actionable tools and reporting for Sales to manage field inventory and potential expense liabilities; includes comparative analysis to other geographies and organizational goals.
Create and maintain tools for tactical field inventory management for hospital consignment and trunk stock.
In coordination with Contracts and Legal, ensure that appropriate contractual framework surrounds all hospital consignment agreements. Monitor compliance for inventory levels against contractual agreements.
Responsible for managing quality actions for field inventory as requested by Quality.
In conjunction with Finance and Supply Chain, develop data driven targets for field inventory, Days on Hand and FG’s obsolescence/scrap improvements as part of annual and periodic financial budgeting and control.
Prepare executive level summaries and present key assumptions, findings and observations along with actionable information to commercial and executive management; interpret ambiguous data; draw conclusions and provide recommendation.
Lead and develop others. Responsible for people-management including but not limited to: staff development, administrative duties.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Your Profile:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field
5 year of experience working in forecasting/demand planning/ERP/MRP systems and/or software
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
Ability to travel approximately 15%, including internationally
