Te Tūranga – About the role

As a Senior Delivery Lead in the Enterprise Systems Team, you’ll be at the heart of driving transformation and delivering real business impact at Foodstuffs. You’ll champion Agile ways of working, guiding multiple cross-functional squads to deliver high-value initiatives with speed, quality, and purpose. Your focus will be on creating the conditions for teams to thrive - removing blockers, enabling collaboration, and ensuring every initiative delivers outcomes that truly matter. In your first 12 months, you’ll play a pivotal role in the Employee Experience (EEX) transformation programme, shaping squad structures, owning key deliverables, and setting the standard for excellence in delivery.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery coaching, empowering teams to work smarter, faster, and happier. You’ll partner closely with Portfolio Leads, Product Managers, and stakeholders to turn ideas into action, optimise delivery flow, and maximise value for the business. If you love enabling high-performing teams, influencing change, and driving measurable outcomes, this is your stage.

In this role, you will:
-       Lead and mentor multiple cross-functional squads, embedding Agile ways of working and fostering a high-performing, happy team environment.
-       Drive predictable, high-quality delivery by optimising squad and cross-squad flow, promoting modern engineering practices, and shifting quality “left.”
-       Support the EEX transformation programme, ensuring IT are able to provide the necessary support, taking ownership of key deliverables including end-to-end testing, UAT, and operational readiness.
-       Partner with Portfolio Leads to prioritise initiatives, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery aligns with business outcomes.
-       Represent initiatives in governance forums, contribute to enterprise strategy, and provide insights to support financial planning and continuous improvement.

He kōrero mōu - About you

You’re a seasoned Agile delivery leader with a proven ability to guide complex initiatives from concept to completion, inspiring high-performing squads along the way. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and are equally at home coaching teams, facilitating Agile events, and shaping delivery strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. A natural problem-solver and influencer, you’re curious, adaptable, and constantly looking for ways to improve processes, optimise delivery flow, and expand the concept of “what’s possible.”

You combine hands-on delivery expertise with strong stakeholder engagement, helping teams navigate dependencies, risks, and shifting priorities while maintaining alignment to strategic objectives. Your deep understanding of enterprise systems, DevOps practices, and Agile principles allows you to enable squads to deliver value faster, safer, and smarter.

In this role, you'll bring:
-       Proven Agile delivery leadership, capable of guiding multiple squads and embedding frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
-       Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with experience enabling teams, running ceremonies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
-       Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, building trusted relationships with Product Owners, Portfolio Leads, and senior leadership.
-       Expertise in dependency and risk management, backlog ownership, prioritisation, and ensuring delivery aligns to strategic business outcomes.
