As a Senior Data Visualization Engineer working on our highly visible and critical Ignite AI Advisor Application, you will bridge the gap between complex data engineering and strategic business intelligence. You are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance industry-leading visualization functions that turn raw data into actionable stories. 

Working closely with Lead Engineers and Architects, you will leverage the Looker BI tool to ensure that the data powering your visualizations is accurate, scalable, and optimized for end-user performance for Ignite AI Advisor. 

You have proven experience designing intuitive, UI/UX interfaces that simplify complex data, a deep mastery of data extraction within big data ecosystems, and a passion for translating raw insights into high-stakes business decisions.

Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 required onsite days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) every week.

This role will work the required onsite days at our Equifax office in Alpharetta, GA. 

This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.

This position is not open to third-party vendors or C2C.
 

What you’ll do

Your focus will be on the end-to-end journey of data—from ingestion to the final dashboard.

  • Dashboard & Report Development: Design and build interactive, visually compelling Looker BI reports and dashboards that adhere to UI/UX best practices and branding standards.

  • Partner with engineers, architects and business teams to design, document, and deploy internal and customer-facing insights that tell a compelling, data-driven story.

  • Work with team of visualization experts, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of functionality, user experience, and technical rigor

  • Design wireframes and mockups to align stakeholders on functionality and design vision for critical, high-visibility client projects.

  • Data Modeling: Translate business requirements into robust semantic models  and dimensional modeling to ensure "single source of truth" reporting.

  • Data Pipeline Collaboration: Work with Data Engineers to ensure the data is optimized for BI consumption and occasionally refining scripts.

  • Automated Testing & DevOps: Participate in the full CI/CD lifecycle using  DevOps, implementing version control and automating deployment pipelines.


 

What experience you need  

  • Visual Engineering Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in BI development.

  • 5+ years of experience in focused BI Development tools, Looker is preferred. 

  • 5+ years of experience in SQL and Python.

  • Relational Mastery: Deep understanding of SQL functions, joins, and execution plans to validate and troubleshoot the data underlying your reports.

  • Proven experience designing and optimizing production-grade data models to ensure high performance across massive datasets.

  • Experience with any public cloud platform - GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
