Job Description

Your Role


We are seeking an experienced Data Product Owner to lead the IBOR (Investment Book of Record) Data Domain. This domain encompasses critical investment data including Positions, Transactions, Valuation information, and more. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in investment management data, strong data product ownership experience, and a proven track record of driving data governance and quality initiatives.

You will be Responsible for:

  • Own and manage the IBOR Data Domain, ensuring the integrity, availability, and usability of investment data such as Positions, Transactions, and Valuations.

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to define and prioritize data product roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.

  • Apply business and logical data modeling techniques to structure and optimize the data domain.

  • Utilize SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting; Snowflake expertise is a plus.

  • Lead data governance efforts within the domain, including defining and enforcing data governance policies and standards.

  • Identify and define critical data elements (CDEs) for the IBOR Data Domain and establish data quality rules and metrics to monitor and improve data quality.

  • Engage with stakeholders across investment management, technology, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  • Prepare and present clear, actionable roadmaps and status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

The experience you Bring:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience working with investment data, with at least 10 years as a Data Product Owner or in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of investment management concepts, products, and workflows.

  • Proficiency in business data modeling and logical data modeling.

  • Solid SQL skills; experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience in data governance practices, including policy development and application within data domains.

  • Proven ability to identify critical data elements and implement data quality frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business terms.

  • Experience preparing strategic roadmaps and driving execution across cross-functional teams.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $116,000 - $191,000/year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location
