What you'll do 

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be a key leader in designing, building, and scaling our core data platform and infrastructure, with a critical focus on Go-to-Market (GTM) data assets (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success). You will architect, implement, and deploy scalable solutions that ensure high data quality and governance for core assets, making data reliable and easily accessible to the entire organization. You’ll also mentor other engineers, shaping our data modeling and engineering practices, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic data usage across business and product development.

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • Working with roughly defined requirements and using the business vision to elaborate and build effective solutions to data informed decision problems.
  • Designing and building the governance mechanisms and quality checks to ensure data reliability on core business assets.
  • Building the infrastructure and data pipelines required to ingest, transform, and model critical Go-to-Market data from sources like Salesforce and Marketo.
  • Enabling self-service data consumption for analysts and product teams, including setting up robust environments for Machine Learning and Data Apps.
  • Following our agile methodology and contributing to its improvement.
  • Own and lead initiatives from inception to delivery and maintenance in an autonomous way.
  • Proactively adding positive energy to our rapidly growing company.

Your skills and experience 

  • Data Platform Expertise: Deep experience in designing, building, and optimizing modern data platforms. 
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Data: Proven experience integrating, modeling, and maintaining data from core GTM systems like Salesforce and Marketo.
  • Modern Data Architecture: Expert knowledge of data modeling (Kimball, Data Vault) and modern architectures like the Medallion Architecture/Delta Lake, leveraging tools like Databricks.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Strong understanding and practical experience in implementing data governance frameworks, metadata management, and automated data quality mechanisms.
  • Programming & Frameworks: Expert proficiency in Python (or Scala) and SQL. Experience building Data Applications/Frameworks (e.g., Streamlit, Gradio, or Dash) is highly valued.
  • Data Development Lifecycle: Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect, and experience in hosting and managing open-source tools related to data development (e.g., testing, monitoring).
  • Mentorship and Communication: Ability to mentor junior team members and clearly communicate complex data architecture and governance concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Autonomous, Resource-Conscious Development: Comfortable making cost-effective decisions across data infrastructure setups.
