What you’ll achieve

As a Data Migrator you will be responsible for planning and executing migration strategies, mapping and transforming data between systems, developing efficient ETL processes, and ensuring data quality and integrity.

Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

  • Migration planning: define strategies, timelines, tools, and methodologies to transfer data from one system to another with minimal risk.
  • Data mapping: understand source and target structures, creating clear transformation rules and field-to-field mapping.
  • Data quality and integrity: ensure migrated data is complete, consistent, and free of errors.
  • Development of scripts and ETL: create and optimise extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes, often using SQL, Python, or specific tools.
  • Testing and validation: conduct rigorous testing (unit, integration, and reconciliation) to ensure the migration has been executed correctly.
  • Risk management: anticipate potential issues and create contingency and rollback plans.
  • Governance and compliance: ensure the migration follows security, privacy policies, and regulations (such as GDPR, depending on the context).

Essential Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Migrator preferably within healthcare analytics or data engineering environments.

  • Proven track record in complex environments (multiple systems, integrations and relational and non-relational databases)

  • Strong knowledge of advanced SQL

  • Experience with ETL tools and processes

  • Programming skils

  • Experience in data modelling and data mapping

  • Knowledge of cloud plataforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)

Desirable Requirements

  • Advanced english

  • Experience in healthcare environments or clinical systems

  • Experience in international or multi-region projects is valued

  • Availability to travel
