WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
Data is core to what we do at SimCorp – both for internal activities and to support our services we provide to our clients. SimCorp, a global FinTech company, is offering key positions for Data Engineers in the Data and Reporting Department.
You will work with skilled and experienced data engineers and become part of an innovative and changing environment. You will be motivated by taking responsibility of building data processing tools. Your contribution to the team will improve our value proposition to the organization and bring us closer to our goals.
A key element in our corporate strategy is cloud-based Data Platform; building a high-quality Data Platform.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming and serving large volumes of financial and operational data
Contribute to end-to-end ownership of data solutions, from requirements and design through implementation, deployment and support
Ensure high standards for data quality, performance and reliability across pipelines and data sets
Contribute to code reviews, design discussions and technical decisions.
Work within cloud-native and DevOps environments, contributing to CI/CD and automation of deployment and test scope
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data is collected, stored, and processed efficiently
KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated practical experience as a data engineer processing large data volumes
Advanced SQL skills, Snowflake
Good Python knowledge
Solid understanding of ETL pipelines – ingestion, normalization
Good understanding of data modelling in the financial sector
Good understanding of cloud infrastructures, such as Azure
Familiarity with DevOps
Familiarity with Data Governance
WHAT WE VALUE
5-8+ years of experience with data engineering
Good knowledge of finance and financial instruments
Ability to identify, understand, prioritize and deliver the work with minimal supervision
Effective communication & presentation skills
Clear sense of ownership and accountability
Willingness to learn, adjust to changing situations and contribute to a collaborative, international team
