Position Summary
PGA TOUR Superstore is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help design, build, and operate the enterprise data platform that powers analytics and data products across the organization. This role is focused primarily on data pipelines, platform reliability, and data quality and governance. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data ingestion and transformation — from working with source system owners to designing scalable integrations, deploying production-grade pipelines, and ensuring the platform is trusted and reliable for downstream consumers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with various stakeholders to understand new sources of data, business needs, and define an integration pattern with an enterprise data platform.
Define and implement integration patterns for new data sources in partnership with technical and business stakeholders.
Own data pipeline reliability, including monitoring, alerting, and automated data quality checks.
Support and maintain production pipelines, ensuring performance, stability, and data correctness.
Document end-to-end data flows, transformations, and dependencies across systems.
Contribute to data engineering standards, architecture discussions, and best practices in collaboration with the Enterprise Data team.
Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve platform scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data ingestion and pipeline development.
Experience working effectively within a managed engineering team, partnering with leadership on technical decisions.
Strong experience designing, building, and operating production data pipelines.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation and performance tuning.
Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
Experience in cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Experience with at least one ETL/ELT tool (e.g., Fivetran, Matillion).
Experience with a transformation tool (e.g., dbt, Coalesce).
Retail or multi-location business experience preferred.
Familiarity with GitHub and modern version control workflows.
Experience supporting data visualization and analytics tools preferred (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Monday – Friday onsite, based out of our Roswell, GA Store Support Center. Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
