Position Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
You will have the following skills and experience:
Extensive experience developing and supporting enterprise data platforms, with a strong focus on reliability, stability, and performance.
Hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Azure, supporting cloud‑based data workloads at scale.
Strong background in Data Engineering, including:
Big Data platforms
ETL pipeline development and operational support
Data transformation and data modelling
Advanced proficiency in SQL for development, data validation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational analysis.
Hands‑on experience with data streaming using Azure Event Hubs.
Operational knowledge of Business Intelligence platforms, including Power BI, and supporting enterprise reporting workloads.
Proven experience applying Reliability principles, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.
Experience with Release and Change Management practices within regulated enterprise environments.
Hands‑on experience using ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.
Working knowledge of DevOps practices, including:
CI/CD pipelines
Automation and deployment support
Tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins/Wave, and GitHub
Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models, with a strong operational and run‑the‑business mindset.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical teams and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytics, problem solving and solutioning skills
A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
You have broad knowledge in Relational DBMS, SQL including SQL Server, Teradata, and Oracle.
You have experience developing or supporting data services using .NET and web technologies.
You have working experience in SQL Programming, creating complex queries, tables, view, and procedures.
You have practical knowledge in query optimization and performance tuning.
You have experience in creating detailed technical documentation for data integration (ETL) programs and other deliverables.
Exposure to and an understanding of Agile scrum methodologies and experience of working in an Agile team.
Experience in Data processing, performance analysis, tuning, and capacity planning
Hands‑on or operational experience with:
Azure Synapse Analytics for enterprise data warehousing
Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 for large‑scale data storage
Azure Databricks or HDInsight for big data processing and analytics
Familiarity with Power Platform components beyond Power BI (e.g., Power Automate) to support operational automation.
Basic understanding of following will be useful but not required:
Exposure to and basic understanding of other business intelligence systems, dashboard reporting, and analytical reporting
Exposure to and basic understanding of collaboration tools like Teams and JIRA
Defining and tracking Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for data platforms.
Enterprise cloud governance standards.
Data security, access controls, and compliance considerations in cloud environments.
Continuous improvement practices related to incident reduction and operational maturity.
