Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer (20116), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and support the migration of data platforms from Snowflake on AWS to Azure Databricks and DBT in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and transformations to ensure reliable data processing during and after migration
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to support secure and scalable cloud data environments
- Troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and integration processes while documenting best practices and configurations
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering working with modern cloud data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure Databricks, and DBT in production environments
- Strong experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Experience leading or supporting cloud-to-cloud data migration projects
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL or ELT data pipeline development
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control systems
- Familiarity with data governance practices such as cataloging, lineage, monitoring, and data quality management
- Exposure to streaming data technologies such as Kafka, Event Hubs, or Delta Live Tables
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in complex technical environments
