About this Role
Fandom is looking for a collaborative Senior Data Engineer specialized in Data Visualization. This person will partner closely with Tech and Product on the creation of optimized dashboards, on development of highly polished data visualization experience, and on the advocacy of self-serving data and data governance.
This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of product analytics, revenue analytics, and data governance. On top of a passion for translating complex data into business value, the ideal candidate has deep technical fluency, especially in data engineering.
You Will...
- Build optimized high-level & KPIs dashboards for recurring analyses
- Build enterprise-grade data visualization experience for the Sales team and Fandom customers
- Be an expert resource to enable analysts and stakeholders create dashboards: give access to self-service tools, teach best practices including data storytelling, and resolve potential roadblocks
- Advocate and communicate about dashboards and their roadmaps
- Contribute to data quality, especially for event settings and quality control with the Data Tracking and Reliability team
You Have...
- 4+ years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, data engineering oriented reporting and governance, or any similar role
- Strong stakeholder relationship and management skills
- Abilities to transform questions into compelling data storytelling
- Proficient in building data visualization in known technologies (e.g. Superset, Tableau, Power BI)
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Significant experience with a major cloud platform (i.e. AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Good understanding of data engineering principles
Bonus:
- Experience with Superset
- Experience with GA4 or any other event tracking systems (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Amplitude)
- Experience evaluating tools (e.g. dashboarding, event tracking)
