Job Summary
As a Senior Data Analytics (19748), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the end-to-end migration of dashboards, reports, and analytics assets from ThoughtSpot to Power BI, ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards and governance policies
- Design and develop scalable Power BI data models, semantic layers, and reusable datasets to enable self-service analytics across global stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams to validate data quality, optimize Azure Databricks sources, and ensure reliable pipelines for reporting consumption
- Drive BI performance optimization, governance, documentation, and user enablement while promoting best practices and standardized reporting frameworks
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, reporting development, or analytics engineering roles
- Advanced expertise in Power BI including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, semantic modeling, and performance tuning
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying Azure Databricks and working within medallion architecture constructs
- Proven experience migrating BI platforms or consolidating cross-platform reporting environments
- Strong understanding of BI governance, security models, role-based access control, and enterprise reporting standards
- Experience working with Azure ecosystem tools such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI Service (administration, APIs, deployment pipelines, CI/CD)
- Experience building analytics solutions within Agile/Scrum environments and actively contributing to sprint ceremonies
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data for executive and business audiences
- Experience working in the insurance domain, with familiarity in related processes and terminology
- Nice to have: experience with dbt, modern data stack environments, AI/ML-driven dashboard integration, and ability to quickly understand and navigate complex enterprise data models
