Description:

This role is responsible for developing and scaling analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capability across core business processes in ANZ.

The role supports multiple business functions including Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, and Operations by delivering integrated insights, process automation, and decision-support tools that improve performance, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency.

The role enables data-driven decision-making, drives continuous improvement, and helps establish consistent analytics and automation practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics & Insight Delivery

  • Develop and maintain integrated dashboards and reporting (Power BI) across core processes (e.g. Quote to Cash, Procure to Pay)
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support business decision-making
  • Provide visibility of performance, risks, and opportunities across value streams and functions
  • Contribute to development of standardised analytics frameworks and reporting structures

Data Integration & Governance

  • Integrate data across ERP, CRM, logistics, and other systems to create end-to-end visibility
  • Improve data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting processes
  • Reduce reliance on manual reporting, spreadsheets, and fragmented data sources

Automation & AI Enablement

  • Design and implement process automation solutions (e.g. Power Automate) to improve efficiency
  • Identify and support delivery of AI-enabled use cases, including: Predictive insights, Exception management, Process optimisation
  • Support adoption of data driven and AI-enabled decision making practices across the business

Continuous Improvement (PPI)

  • Apply Lean / PPI methodologies to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
  • Support delivery of high-impact improvement initiatives across business functions
  • Contribute to structured problem-solving, prioritisation, and tracking of benefits

Business Partnering & Enablement

  • Partner with functional teams to embed analytics into day-to-day decision-making
  • Provide insights and support to enable performance improvement initiatives
  • Reduce single point dependencies by improving accessibility and usability of data

Capability Building & Standardisation

  • Train and support users in Power BI, automation tools, and analytics best practices
  • Contribute to development of standard tools, templates, and frameworks
  • Support adoption of consistent ways of working across business units

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience delivering analytics and automation solutions across business functions
  • Experience working in a complex matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into commercial and operational outcomes
  • Microsoft Certified in Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300), Power Platform (Power Automate / Power Apps) – (desirable)
  • Certification or training in AI / advanced analytics (e.g. Python, Azure AI Fundamentals) – (desirable)
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) or equivalent (desirable)

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and associated tools

  • Experience working with ERP (SAP, JDE), CRM (Salesforce), and integrated data environments
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis, automation, or advanced analytics
  • Experience with data modelling, transformation, and data pipeline concepts
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics tools (preferred)
  • Strong commercial competence with the ability to draw insights from data
  • Enterprise thinker, understanding the inter-dependencies of processes like QTC, P2P, MDM, R2R within sales and distribution organisations.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to prioritise based on key result areas, to handle time optimally and to meet agreed targets
  • Proven high level of integrity and professional standards
  • Able to bring a cohort of ANZ analysts together, to coordinate and work to a common framework

Located in Melbourne or Sydney, driving our Microbiology (MBD) portfolio business in the Australia and New Zealand region.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team in the microbiology business. This role will focus on the strategic management and growth of our key accounts across diverse markets in Australia and New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, excellent sales skills, and a proven track record of managing key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts across clinical, pharmaceutical, and applied markets.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing key accounts and potential new clients.

  • Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to review performance, address concerns, and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Collaborate with the strategic partnerships team to develop and execute sales strategies and campaigns.

Market and Product Knowledge:

  • Strong background in microbiology

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's microbiology products and services.

  • Provide technical support and product training to key accounts as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Communicate customer feedback and market insights to relevant departments to drive product and service improvements.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and market trends.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Utilize CRM tools to manage and track customer interactions, sales activities, and account information.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all account-related activities and communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the microbiology, clinical, pharmaceutical and applied markets.

  • Proven track record of managing key accounts and achieving sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of microbiology products and applications.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness to travel as required.
