The Data Supply Chain, is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative analytical and AI solutions around supply chain issues such as product assortment by optimizing costs, the dispatch of our products across our network, and the visibility and availability of our products on our platforms, to name a few. 

The multidisciplinary team is composed of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, Data PMs, and BI Engineers. It works closely with product managers and business partners using agile methodology and a state-of-the-art technical stack.

We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst (permanent contract), based in Lille or Paris.

As a Data Analyst, you will serve as a key link between data teams and supply business teams (product managers, dispatchers, etc.), supporting them in making strategic, data-driven decisions.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You engage with business contacts and operational teams to gain a better understanding of the issues you're working on. You develop appropriate data solutions by being proactive and respecting their constraints, while maintaining a sound understanding of existing analyses and tools.

You identify the data needed for your study and ensure its quality and reliability. You perform the data cleaning and preparation prior to applying the statistical and analytical methods you choose. (Note: You respect and promote the ethical framework for the use of personal data.)

There are a variety of responsibilities :

  • Analyze the performance of Decathlon's Downstream Supply Chain (Dispatch, Replenishment, Stock Positioning, Order Management)
  • Support business teams and provide proactive analysis and recommendations
  • Delivering impactful insights and strong recommendations to guide business decisions.
  • Supporting business stakeholders in building their data skills and acting as a liaison between them and other data teams.

 

Your technical environment:

  • Languages: SQL, Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
  • BI Tools: Tableau
  • Data Engineering: dbt, Databricks
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS (S3, redshift), cloud provider AWS
  • Versioning & DevOps: Git, CI/CD, VSCode

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Experience: 3+ years in Data Analysis with strong expertise in SQL and data visualization.
  • Business understanding: You grasp the challenges of designing and selling physical products and know how to turn business needs into well-defined problems and actionable recommendations.
  • Analytical mindset: You are strong in structuring analysis and interpreting meaningful insights.
  • Collaborative spirit: You’re comfortable working in cross-functional teams (business, data, product, governance).
  • Proactive & curious: You enjoy exploring new solutions and continuously improving analysis methods.
  • Languages: You have professional proficiency in English
