Job Title: Database Developer
Overview:
The Database Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions to support Cyber Security IAM applications. This role involves development, optimization, troubleshooting, and ensuring the integrity and security of database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Development:
Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
Optimize queries, implement data models, and ensure data integrity and security.
Write optimized SQL queries and scripts for application development and data analysis.
Develop and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, views, and sequences.
Database Management:
Participate in database architecture and design discussions.
Implement and monitor database security, backups, and recovery procedures.
Conduct database performance tuning and optimization.
Data Integration:
Support data migration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and integration between multiple data sources.
Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic with front-end applications.
Maintenance & Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and incidents.
Monitor database performance and proactively address potential problems.
Maintain documentation related to database design, processes, and procedures.
Collaboration:
Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and QA teams to deliver robust database solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c or newer.
Proficiency in SQL Server.
Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development.
Knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
Experience with database design, normalization, and data modeling.
Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and TOAD.
Understanding of database security best practices.
Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Understanding of Identity Engineering and Identity Access Management concepts
Scripting experience (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
14+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Developer or in a similar role.
Oracle certification(s) (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate) is a plus.
