Position Overview:
Actively pursue resolutions for Member issues; follow up and report results in regular updates to CPS Manager. Act as a liaison between the department and its member accounts. Actively interact with Custodial Bank and its administration to resolve issues concerning daily settlements, corporate actions, security income, or any other issues that may arise throughout the course of the day. Take lead on Custodial Bank system issues and problems that occur which are not part of the normal course of the day. Monitor daily transactions for customers. . Process transactions for customers ensuring appropriate customer service is being address on both customer requests as well as proactive initiatives. Ensure Members are fully collateralized on a daily basis.
Essential Job Function:
Serve as the main point of contact for CPS operations in the absence of management, handling routine and elevated issues with custodial bank officers and member institutions
Administer the entire cycle of physical security trade settlements, including the entry of transactions on 1LinkSK, the verification of documentation, ongoing monitoring, and collaboration with Citibank and its members.
Provide proactive member support and education on settlement processes, 1LinkSK tools, street repos, corporate actions, and complex transactions like trade failures or pledges.
Process buy and sell transactions, reconcile income and settlement cash events (which encompass late debits and manual adjustments), and guarantee prompt street-side settlements along with compliance with OIA regulations.
Monitor collateral positions, margin calls, and under-collateralized reports daily; create and verify margin calls and ensuring all accounts meet collateral standards.
Handle corporate actions including full and partial calls, maturities, pledges and withdrawals, special payment orders, and corrections for bad repos, and notifying members as necessary.
Maintain system data accuracy across 1LinkSK, STOC, Custodian Preference Module, BI, and DM, support cash management reporting, municipal deposits, and ratings updates.
Experience:
Seven years’ experience in a financial institution with at least 2 years working within Custody and Pledging Services (CPS): moderate to strong working knowledge of the securities industry; securities clearing, as well as mortgage and custody services required. Strong experience with customer service, including external customers (vendors). Experience with problem resolution and follow up competencies a must. Experience with project work as well as back office or Operations department experience.

Education:
BS/BA Degree preferred, Comparable Experience
Salary: $95k to $115,000
