The Kraft Heinz Away from Home team is looking for a hard-working Sr. Culinary Specialist to join our expanding team! This is a creative culinary role responsible for supporting all culinary activities, projects and goals. This position will understand current trends and apply them to ideation, innovation, and development projects. Additionally, this role engages with the Kraft Heinz Ingredients team to support special projects. The Sr. Culinary Specialist reports to the Sr. Culinary Manager for Innovation.
Culinary Project Support & Management:
Assist Culinary Team in management of projects, planning and driving events, both internal and external including procurement, set up, prep and breakdown
Performance-tests our products in applications
Translates consumer-centric trends using culinary knowledge into concepts, solutions, and recipes
Collaborate with team to further promote company brand and create customer opportunities
Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including videos, newsletters, and product testing reports
Assist in product trainings; both creation of materials and application demonstrations
Participate in the global KHC culinary community, sharing trends, recipe ideas, and best practices
Support for food demonstrations both internally and externally
Brings culinary knowledge, ensuring that regional/channel taste
Partners with and supports marketing, R&D, product and packaging, sales, and insights
Supports customer demonstrations
Culinary support for our Kraft Heinz Ingredients team
Challenges the status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas
Conduct competitive reviews against our product portfolio
Articulates culinary trends, as well as industry/operator landscape
Develop well-written and consumer inspired food ideas
Transforms current & future food trends into builds and solutions
Maintain a clean, safe and organized kitchen and work environment.
Support incorporation of sustainable resources into the culinary selections.
Promote an inclusive & encouraging approach
Seasoned experience in food service (applicable channels: hotels, FSR, bar & grills, catering, B&I, or institutional)
Corporate Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience preferred
Culinary degree preferred
Demonstrates understanding of culinary basics: the principles of cooking techniques, product characteristics, safe food handling techniques, and ideation
Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal and virtual communication
Shown leadership skills with an understanding of the importance of team building/development, while fostering partnerships
Outstanding problem solving/decision making skills
Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
Works well with live customer engagement
This is a Hybrid role with 2-3 days a week in the local office, with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces. Additionally, this role requires working a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations
Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed (25%)
Stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (35lbs) as necessary to operation
Operate a computer and view screens

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$89,800.00 - $112,200.00Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
