Senior CSA Engineer - Facilities Construction

The Senior CSA Engineer – Facilities Construction is an onsite-focused role responsible for the execution, coordination, constructability, quality, and compliance of CSA works for Micron construction projects. This role works closely with Global Facilities design teams, MEP team, external consultants, General Contractors (GCs), and vendors to ensure approved designs and Micron standards are fully implemented during construction and site execution.

Key Responsibilities :

Project & Construction Execution 

 
• Serve as the site CSA engineering owner for construction projects from mobilization through close-out. 
• Provide day-to-day onsite CSA engineering support during construction, commissioning, and turnover. 
• Interface with design teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of global standards. 
• Coordinate with consultants, GC, and subcontractors to resolve constructability and field execution issues. 
• Support CSA scope for greenfield, brownfield, retrofit, expansion, and tool install projects. 
• Ensure CSA execution aligns with approved IFC drawings, specifications, and Micron standards. 
 

CSA Technical Oversight & Field Engineering 

 
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and CSA RFIs. 
• Review and validate construction changes in coordination with GFC and A&E consultants. 
• Conduct regular field inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes. 
• Support foundations, piling, soil improvement, concrete, structural steel, precast, OSM, and architectural works. 
• Evaluate existing structures for safety, capacity, vibration, and integrity. 
 

Project Reporting & Leadership Communication 

 
• Provide regular CSA construction status updates to Senior Managers and Directors including scope, schedule, cost, 
  quality, safety, and risk. 
• Prepare and present CSA-related content for project reviews, milestone reviews, and leadership forums. 
• Proactively escalate critical CSA risks, constraints, and execution issues with clear mitigation plans. 
• Support data-driven decision making by providing accurate site conditions, progress assessments, and forecasts. 
• Align CSA execution priorities with project objectives, site strategy, and leadership direction. 
 

Quality, Safety & Compliance 

 
• Ensure compliance with Micron standards, local regulatory requirements, and approved safety plans. 
• Support QA/QC inspections, audits, and site assessments. 
 Participate in incident investigations, SOR/NCR reviews, and implementation of corrective actions. 
• Ensure CSA construction activities do not disrupt live fab operations. 
 

Coordination & Stakeholder Management 

 
• Act as the primary CSA technical interface between Site, Global facilities design team, consultants, and GC teams. 
• Coordinate CSA scope with MEP and other key stakeholders like AMHS, tool installation teams etc., 
 Participate in BIM and 3D model reviews for constructability and maintenance access. 
 

Cost, Schedule & Change Management 

 
• Provide CSA engineering input for cost estimates, schedule planning, and construction sequencing. 
• Support evaluation of change requests and field modifications affecting CSA scope. 
 

Reliability, Sustainability & Continuous Improvement 

 
• Support CSA aspects of Facilities Reliability Improvement and Sustainability projects. 
• Provide input on vibration, acoustics, and long-term structural performance. 
• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement aligned with Micron standards. 
 

Knowledge & Technical Competencies 

 
• Semiconductor facility CSA systems including foundations, structures, and architectural systems. 
• Structural steel, reinforced concrete, precast, and OSM construction systems. 
• Cleanroom architectural systems including raised floors, ceilings, and demountable walls. 
• Familiarity with BIM, 3D models, vibration, and acoustics considerations. 
• Knowledge of Singapore building codes and regulations is preferred. 
 

Skills & Experience 
• 7–10 years CSA engineering experience with strong site construction and planning exposure. 
• Experience working with EPCs, GCs, and A&E consultants. 
 Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple onsite priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
 

Education & Qualifications 
 Bachelor's degree in civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering. 
• Semiconductor or advanced industrial facility experience preferred.
