The Opportunity

Marvell is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Counsel, Litigation to support Marvell’s global litigation matters. In this role, you will provide management and support for a variety of litigation and disputes which could include regulatory, product liability, commercial, insurance or other legal disputes. You will work within a dynamic global Legal team and report to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Employment, Privacy & Litigation. This position will be based in Santa Clara, CA.

What You Can Expect

  • Collaborate with and manage outside litigation counsel
  • Conduct factual investigations, analyze legal issues, and independently develop litigation strategies
  • Advise cross-functional teams on litigation, arbitration or mediation strategy and risks
  • Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities and subpoena responses
  • Address pre-litigation disputes, including preparing or responding to demands
  • Identify and prepare witnesses for legal proceedings
  • Provide proactive legal advice to business partners to identify potential legal risks and support, advise, and train business partners on legal issues
  • Monitor global litigations trends, activities, and best practices
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal litigation processes and develop associated policies
  • Support legal team on related projects, as needed.
  • Collaboratively work with global and cross-functional stakeholders to drive matters to completion

What We're Looking For

  • J.D. from accredited law school and membership in good standing with the California Bar (or other bar association with the ability to register as in-house counsel in California)
  • 7+ years of litigation experience (law firm experience required)
  • Technology company experience strongly preferred
  • Broad complex litigation experience, with emphasis in regulatory, commercial, products liability, global litigation or arbitration, multi-district litigations and/or class actions
  • Experience drafting demand letters, discovery, litigation briefing, and settlement agreements
  • Experience in fast-paced and dynamic organization and demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent judgment, discretion and risk assessment
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Business-savvy, practical business acumen, proven track record of driving pragmatic results
  • Highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approach
  • Accountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple, global projects at once
  • Strategic, and able to see the “big picture”-the end-to-end connection points across company and business strategy

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

165,180 - 247,500, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
