Senior Corporate Sales – Financial Markets

Department Overview:
Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
Internally, work closely with Debt and Capital Markets (DCM), Corporate Finance and Advisory and Financial Sponsors Group to identify, pitch and convert event driven opportunities. Support Sector Bankers on DCM and Project Finance related hedging.  Stablish good relationship with the FM Corporate Sales desk and invest time in the development of the junior staff. Properly coordinate internal FM stakeholders (trading, balance sheet management, Legal, credit and market risk). 
Externally, stablish meaningful business relationship with UK`s Corporates and Financial Sponsors. Drive growth by proactively pitching and positioning ING Financial Markets Unit. Actively manage client`s investment and disinvestments cycles and financing needs. 
Maximise the sale of ING financial Markets product range to clients. 100% observance of all FCA requirements, industry conduct rules and ING Compliance standards. Assist with various ad hoc desk tasks in line with ING Strategic Initiatives and one-off projects. 

 
Candidate Profile

Qualification/Education 

  • Essential: Degree

  • Desirable: CFA Charter Holder

Experience/Knowledge

  • Essential: Deep knowledge and experience in the event driven hedging space (Interest Rate and Inflation, FX and Equities) for UK Corporates as well as Project Finance transactions, with proven track record. Experience in dealing with DCM and Corporate Finance and Advisory. Great understanding of pre-hedging (including Deal Contingent and Bond Hedging) and proven experience in pitching it to clients. 

  • Desirable: Well stablished relationship with Financial Sponsors and UK Corporates.

  • Desirable: Second Language is a plus.
