Job Function Summary:
Executes PGE’s Corporate Compliance Program by providing expert assessment and guidance to stakeholders across the company. Assesses compliance risks and program maturity for PGE’s high-risk compliance programs, identifies potential gaps, and provides recommendations for program mitigation, controls, and continuous improvements. Serves as a subject matter expert to operational units in their duty to comply with relevant laws, regulations and internal procedures. Reports to stakeholders and senior leadership on compliance status and potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Program Oversight
Develops and leads administration of Corporate Compliance Program and guides and oversees Compliance Programs across PGE. Identifies and recommends programs and initiatives to ensure all corporate systems are compliant and to incorporate new applicable regulatory requirements. Develops key performance indicators and reports on risk to senior management and executives.
Controls Framework Assessment: Assesses maturity and risk of compliance programs and identifies potential gaps in existing programs. Identifies control gaps. Recommends process improvements to remediate gaps.
Investigation
Leads tracking, identification and disposition of potential instances of noncompliance, including leading investigations. Analyzes results and documents conclusions and remediation plans.
Analysis and Implementation
Conducts risk assessments, maturity assessments, and monitoring activities to evaluate existing Compliance Programs. Analyzes emerging areas of risk and makes recommendations on potential compliance approaches.
Consultation and Outreach
Analyzes enforcement actions and other regulatory developments and informs senior leadership. Designs, develops and delivers presentations on regulatory requirements. Provides subject matter expertise to operating units.
Audit and Enforcement Management
Tracks and provides guidance for regulatory enforcement actions. Prepares reports on regulatory enforcement actions for senior leadership and the Board of Directors. Reviews and analyzes enforcement actions and identifies lessons learned for other compliance programs across PGE.
Education/Experience/Certifications:
Education
Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, technical field or other related field or equivalent experience.
Experience
Typically eight or more years in compliance, enterprise risk, legal, or internal audit. Experience in the electric utility industry preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Training
Compliance & Ethics Certification preferred.
