The Accounting team supports Robinhood’s growing product ecosystem by ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and scalable processes as the business evolves. The team partners closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Operations to support both traditional and crypto-native financial activity!

As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close, and building reconciliation processes for new crypto-related products. You will analyze financial data, resolve variances, and contribute to process improvements that support timely, compliant reporting.

This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain crypto-native reconciliation processes for new products using data from internal ledgers

  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations as part of the financial close process

  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity, explaining period-over-period fluctuations and variances

  • Support year-end external audits by compiling schedules, responding to requests, and resolving follow-ups

  • Research accounting topics and apply relevant guidance in accordance with GAAP

  • Partner with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve data flows and accounting processes

  • Contribute to system automation, cleanup efforts, and ad hoc reporting projects as needed

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, including public accounting, industry experience, or a combination of both

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements

  • Experience preparing account reconciliations and supporting monthly close activities

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and experience improving or documenting accounting processes

  • Experience querying data using SQL

  • Familiarity with blockchain, digital assets, or crypto accounting concepts (preferred)

  • Experience working with a crypto subledger or similar financial systems (preferred)

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
