How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice

This Senior Copywriter will ideate, execute, and deliver original content strategies and craft compelling 360-degree narratives across our brand, encompassing both evergreen and new product launch initiatives.  

This role will drive the execution of copy and brand voice across multiple functions of the brand, elevating and ensuring consistent messaging occurs across all customer-facing points, including Advertising, Social, Retail, DTC and Education. 

The role requires a seasoned professional with experience in an agency/brand environment focused on creating effective advertising campaigns and brand storytelling and demonstrating significant contributions to successful campaigns. 

A successful candidate must exhibit expert written communication skills and storytelling ability while working collaboratively with the creative team in achieving the highest possible standards for all materials that require written communication. They will understand customer journeys from first impression to point of sale and have a strong working knowledge of digital, social, retail environments, and OOH, while tailoring copy to service communication channels and solve business challenges creatively. 

As a Senior Copywriter, a typical day might include a mix of the following: 

  • Own the creation of big ideas, stories, scripts and copy of all assigned projects. 
  • Lead and participate in creative work sessions and planning.
  • Continue to build and authentically adjust brand voice across platforms and creative work.  
  • Leverage consumer insights to dive deep into brand initiatives to drive smarter, relevant, strategic thinking. 
  • Facilitate critical conversations and drive impactful outcomes through a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and creatives to help keep projects on brand and on track. 
  • Collaborate with regulatory team for approvals and coordinate with translation agencies to produce global language versions.

The Details:  

  • Location: We are based in Seattle, WA. While we prefer local candidates, we are flexible on location 
  • Hours: Typical PST business hours, some flexibility required 
  • Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time  
  • Travel requirements: Minimal travel may be required for team meetings or events, up to 5%

What you’ll bring to the table: 

  • 6+ years professional copywriting experience, with 2+ years in senior-level creative roles (Creative Lead, Senior Brand Copywriter, or similar) 
  • Deep experience in scroll stopping headlines, video storytelling, and integrated brand campaigns (from concept through execution) 
  • Strong creative portfolio with high visibility, produced work (a portfolio link required)
  • The ability to think strategically and conceptually while executing with detail and polish 
  • Exceptional communicator and presenter, adept at building strong relationships and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in lean team structures, operating with autonomy/minimal oversight 
  • Ability to adapt brand voice across platforms and authentically adjust without losing the essence of the brand 
  • Ability to iterate swiftly and balance multiple projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines, collaborate effectively across diverse teams, and adapt work hours to support global partnerships across different time zones
  • Background in creative agency, brand, beauty, health/wellness, or CPG industries preferred
 
  • A passion for beauty/skincare and creating culturally provocative work

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$120,000 - $125,000 USD/annually

Paula’s Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
