E.ON Next is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Copywriter & AI Lead to join our growing creative team. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the verbal identity of our brand across a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality copy execution and enabling safe and effective AI tool adoption for smarter working processes. Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
Develop and execute creative copy for a variety of E.ON Next channels, including digital, social, display, print, motion, and presentations across multiple projects.
Ensure all copy outputs are aligned with the E.ON Next brand, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines and toolkits for the creative team and wider business to safeguard brand consistency and enable creative autonomy.
Look for opportunities to harness AI tools within the creative and go-to-market teams to help improve productivity, efficiency, and creative delivery, using existing software or piloting new tools.
Provide ongoing support for existing tools such as Gemini and Celtra, through training and onboarding, sharing best practice tips, prompt engineering, and working directly with tool providers to refine how we use their features.
Act as an AI champion within the business by supporting AI software submissions from the go-to-market team to the AI Enablement Forum, and ensuring that generative AI implementations in other departments are aligned with brand guidelines.
Present concepts and strategies to internal teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind your ideas.
Work to tight deadlines, effectively managing your workload against key project milestones.

We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter & AI Lead with the following experience and skills:
Exceptional creative portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of verbal communication, storytelling, and brand building.
A highly creative individual with a proven ability to translate complex propositions and business challenges into simple, audience-centric copy.
Ability to flex and adapt across multiple projects and workstreams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with proven experience presenting to senior leadership and confidently navigating feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrable business acumen, with the agility to adapt and pivot to evolving business needs while maintaining a commitment to creative excellence and brand integrity.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Expert knowledge of copywriting principles, with a strong understanding of tone of voice, brand messaging, and storytelling.
Extensive experience in writing for a variety of digital and print formats.
Proven experience in creating and implementing brand guidelines.
Strong experience working within a regulated industry and building and substantiating claims.
Proven experience leveraging AI tools and creative automation within a creative team.
On the pulse of AI and creative tech developments, with a strong pro-active drive to pitch and test new solutions.
It would be great if you had:
4-8 years of experience in an agency or in-house creative department.
Experience working within the regulated energy sector would be highly advantageous.
Experience with Google Workspace (including deck building in Google Slides) and Asana.
Experience with AI and creative automation tools, such as Google Gemini, Notebook LM, Asana AI Studio, and Celtra.
A strong understanding of current communication trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape.
