About This Opportunity

You will play a key role in shaping an inclusive, high-impact student experience within the Advanced Programs at UQ Business School. As Senior Coordinator, Student Wellbeing and Advanced Programs, you will lead the strategic development and delivery of co-curricular, wellbeing and engagement initiatives that support academically high-performing students across the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) and the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours). Working within a collaborative, student-first professional team, you will partner closely with academics, professional colleagues, alumni and industry to foster connection, belonging and success for our Advanced cohorts.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with Advanced Program students and alumni to inform and deliver meaningful wellbeing, engagement and development initiatives.

  • Developing and coordinating co-curricular activities, including industry engagement, field trips, school outreach and enrichment experiences, in partnership with Program Convenors and Student Program Committees.

  • Designing, administering and evolving the Career and Development Milestone Program, alongside additional wellbeing initiatives tailored to Advanced Program cohorts.

  • Coordinating student feedback mechanisms, including focus groups, to support continuous quality assurance and enhancement of program and curriculum experiences.

About You

You are a collaborative, inquisitive and student-centred professional who brings both strategic thinking and operational excellence to complex education environments.

You will demonstrate:

  • Completion of an appropriate tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience in a student-focused or career development role within a tertiary education environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing or managing co-curricular, student engagement or wellbeing programs.

  • Highly developed written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence a diverse range of stakeholders including students, academics, professional staff and industry partners.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently, set priorities, manage competing demands and follow through on initiatives with minimal supervision.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving, with the confidence to innovate and adapt in a dynamic environment.

  • A demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion and student wellbeing, aligned with UQ’s values of respect, integrity and excellence.

  • Desirable experience in cultivating industry networks or supporting student career development and employability initiatives.
