The Senior Contracts Operations (Process) Manager serves as the strategic owner of the end-to-end client contracting process following a win notification. In this senior-level role, you will oversee complex contracts, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and drive operational excellence throughout the contract lifecycle.
You will act as the central point of accountability—ensuring accuracy, speed, compliance, and transparency across Legal, Sales, Pricing, Security, and leadership teams. This role is critical in removing barriers, accelerating time-to-contract, and enabling the Sales organization to focus on pipeline growth and client acquisition.
The Senior Contracts Operations (Process) Manager will also play a key role in continuous improvement, developing scalable processes, and shaping contract governance standards across the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Leadership & Ownership
- Serve as the primary project lead for all post-win contract activities, including complex, high-value, and enterprise-level deals.
- Own the strategic oversight of contract workflows, ensuring deadlines, approvals, and deliverables are consistently met.
- Act as the escalation point for internal teams and provide guidance on prioritization, risk mitigation, and resolution strategies.
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the creation, review, and revision of all client agreements, including ASAs, LOAs, MSAs, SOWs, pricing schedules, and custom terms.
- Partner closely with Legal to manage negotiations involving non-standard or complex clauses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of negotiation items, decision rationale, approval paths, and term changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Legal, InfoSec, Pricing, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment and efficient progression of all contract steps.
- Develop a structured communication cadence to provide ongoing visibility to stakeholders and leadership.
- Facilitate conversations around risk tolerance, contract exceptions, and internal approval requirements.
Process Optimization & Governance
- Build and refine standardized workflows, templates, and tools to improve contract turnaround times and reduce operational friction.
- Help define and maintain “pre-approved” negotiation parameters for frequently debated terms.
- Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements that enhance accuracy, compliance, and team efficiency.
- Report on contract cycle-time metrics, volumes, and areas for improvement.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in contract management, project management, legal operations, or a related discipline—preferably in SaaS, benefits administration, HR technology, or professional services.
- Expertise in contract lifecycle management, legal terminology, and cross-functional coordination.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, high-volume, or enterprise-level contracts.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and navigate sensitive contract negotiations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering directly with Legal, Sales, Pricing, InfoSec, and Finance teams.
- Familiarity with contract tools, workflow automation, or CLM systems.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or related certification.
- Experience developing process improvements or governance frameworks.

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
