Senior Continous Improvement Engineer

The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving sustainable, cross‑site operational improvements across the organization using Lean principles, industrial engineering methods, and data‑driven decision making. As a change leader, you will design and standardize processes, lead Kaizen events and value‑stream activities, develop standard work and training, and coach teams to embed and sustain improvements. You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping, and structured problem solving to close performance gaps and eliminate waste.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Work, SOPs, work instructions, and training materials; deliver training and coach frontline teams and leaders.
  • Apply Lean tools (5S, Kanban, A3, PDCA, visual management) to sustain improvements and drive standardization.
  • Use industrial engineering methods to establish takt time and labor standards, optimize work cells, and improve throughput and ergonomics.
  • Design and optimize layouts and material flow (CAD experience preferred) to improve space utilization and productivity.
  • Support DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) reviews and manufacturability improvements to reduce cost and assembly complexity.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards and reports (Power BI or similar); use data to prioritize projects and demonstrate ROI.
  • Support CapEx planning and implementation, including justification, layout, and startup support.
  • Influence cross‑functional teams to remove constraints, manage changes, and embed new processes on the shop floor.
  • Pilot digital and AI‑enabled tools to enhance analysis, documentation, and training where appropriate.
  • Lead and manage cross‑site product transfer and site launch projects — develop project plans, define scope, schedule milestones, track budget and resources, identify and mitigate risks, coordinate testing/validation and training, and drive on‑time handover and post‑launch stabilization.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • BS in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Industrial Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Kaizen events and cross‑functional improvement initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean methodologies and problem‑solving tools.
  • Experience creating SOPs, standard work, and delivering training/coaching.
  • Practical skills in process analysis, labor standards, and layout optimization; CAD experience preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools is desirable; familiarity with CapEx processes, DFMA, logistics/supply chain, or Hoshin Kanri is a plus.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and influencing skills; ability to lead change without direct authority.
  • Willingness to engage regularly on the shop floor
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Travel up to ~25%.
